  1. Deb,

I’ve read your posts. It seems you have very strong views about the war, want to have a meaningful exchange of ideas.

A couple of things you might want to do (with apologies to Lisa, Chris and Reilly for taking the liberty):

Do as Lisa suggested and start a forum on the message board. I’ve seen the same message from you posted across several topics now. It’s in poor taste, and not unlike what many of us find so annoying about the celebrati: (they think) we have a right to their opinion, no matter how inappropriate or ill-timed.

There are plenty of posts on this site and others that rebut all your arguments. Go back and read them.

Please remember this site is private property. If the owners of it were the budding fascists you’ve accused them of being in some of your other posts, they could just erase your messages the moment you posted them if they didn’t agree with them.

  2. Thank you, Sasha – I couldn’t have said it better myself :)

  3. Ah, yes, the smell spam in the air.

Could r lee emery and Chuck Heston be the same person? I could’ve sworn I saw this same message posted elsewhere.

  4. I believe so. lol

He’s been deleted and banned. sheesh

  5. Remember, Hollywood is what they are because of us. Let’s stop funding these fools and put our funds into a real occupation, Like Teachers. It is pretty sad when a drug user can make millions just to show parts of their#%$%# on TV, while the smart ones, like Teachers, go thru 4 years of college and end up making what minimum wage 20k to start. What happend to America. We support Hollywood and what do they give us, nothing. Yes there are the good guys and we can continue supporting them. However the ones who hate America and what we stand for,I think its time for them to leave. Buy their own island outside of Good ole USA and LEAVE – We dont need them. A Reminder of another Bimbo Sarah Jessica Parker who was so against Bush because she didnt want him to stop her FAMILY from collecting welfare. Well she makes the millions selling SEX in the City, why doesnt she feed them Herself ! ITs time to open our eyes!the taxpayers feed the homeless and the Starr support themselves. Martin Sheen is just as his picture interperts. If you were to put him on a podium to debate his difference, he would not be able to do it w/out a script. We can tell the true Actors/Actress from the Un-True – Look at their brains and what they have accomplished. Was it to profit themselves or others. As for Michael Moore – he cant even hear others except himself. Must be all that fat covering his ears. Im glad we have this site its a chance to show the AMERICAN people how Hollywood truly can be – ALL AN ACT. Let stop supporting their CAUSE – THEMSELVES

  6. Using deragatory labels like bimbo and denegrating someone about their weight is way off the point, cruz. You lose your credibility when you sink to those levels.

Discourse comes from the exchange of ideas and opinions, not from name calling and petty attacks.

Don’t dilute your message, no matter what side of the issue you are on, by name calling. It didn’t work when we were kids and it’s even more ineffective when we’re not.

  7. you don’t really get it, don’t you?
-you insult people who want nothing else but getting your boys back home alive…

No indeed I question people who by their very actions give Saddam the moral support he is counting on, and looking for, and by doing so put our uniformed men and women in danger. Saddam is dependent on the Martin Sheen/Sarandons and Sean Penns to enable his lunacy. He (saddam) thinks to highly of hollywoods influence on the masses. Indeed…Americans should be wary of the same folly. I am an american who has shut off my TV choosing to read instead. I would urge others to do the same….read all you can, look at every website you can, for or against war,and form your own opinion, and make up your mind. Don’t count on Hollywood, or the media to make it up for you.

-you claim patriotism only for your opinion in a country which is built upon the principles of freedom and pluralism…
Your comment is very offensive to me inasmuch that you do not know me, and jump to a conclusion of who I am. I claim patriotism not only for my opinion but, also an understanding of history and a witnessing of the last 12 years of the flailing about of an inept UN, and an irresponsible presidency, and I’m not talking Bush 43 here. Think Bush 41 and Clinton instead. Heck …I could go futher back than that to when america looked the other way, and by doing so helped Saddam come into power, and yes indeed Osama, but America was not the only nation doing so. Does that mean America is an innocent? No… we are indeed culpable, but we (the US) are not in bed alone. Hindsight is 20/20…It is my belief that we are living/witnessing the shortsightedness of the cold war, but not just that of the american politic, but the world politic..

-you feel threatened by a country which is on the other side of the world. a country which has at best missiles that could reach israel. meanwhile you let your troops play with the fire by making manoeuvres in the area of a real threat named north corea!
Indeed I do feel threatened, not by the Iraqi people, but Saddam. There is an important book by Laurie Mylroie that you should read. Get back to me once you have done so. As to North Korea…I would like to know your views, it may well be that you and I have much in common.

-you follow blindly and trustful a leader who draws you into a war which:
No I have my eye on our president.., and I’m watching him like a hawk….I’m not blind, nor stupid, and I do not easily trust. Do I agree with the president on this issue? Yes, and I will say it’s about time. My brother asked an Iraqi friend what his thoughts were on the current war. The Iraqi responded “better for them to die than continue to live under Saddams rule”. Does this make our coalitions efforts right? History will decide.

    a) is justified by lies & unproven assumptions (has anybody else than the bush-administration “found” valid evidence for weapons of massdestruction or a real connection between hussein and al quaeda?)

Again, read Laurie Mylroies book, but for good measure I will add this quote:
“If Saddam Hussein fails to comply and we fail to act or we take some ambiguous third route, which gives him yet more opportunities to develop his program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of sanctions and ignore the commitments he’s made? Well, he will conclude that the international community’s lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on doing more to build an arsenal of devastating destruction. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow. The stakes could not be higher. Some way, someday, I guarantee you he’ll use the arsenal.” -President Bill Clinton in 1998

    b) isn’t even wanted by the neighbour countries in that region. if THEY don’t feel threatened, why are you doing?!? Ask the Kuwati’s this question…. I bet you get your news from Al Jazeera.

    c) motivates NATO-allies (turkey) to attack aggressively iraq to oppress any kind of independence of local ethnic majorities (the kurds)

No argument from me except to say this is not the first time nor particular to current president.

    c) costs much more (in a time of a serious recession!) and last much longer than you were told before you crossed the point of no return…

Gee…you sound a lot like Hanoi Jane, and the quagmire folks. Facts… 3 weeks into this war, and the regime is either dead, or on the run.

    c) puts severe damage to all important western & civilized international institutions like NATO and UN…
Ah…the UN… much like the now defunct league of nations… Inept, bigoted, outlived any use they ever had, can’t even enforce their own policies or resolutions. Please try harder to convince me that the UN is an important institution.

    d) which made your country more unpopular in the world than ever before… NOW you have a reason to be afraid of terrorists who have no connection to the al quaeda!

This argument really sucks… Terrorists have been around for quite some time now (with no connection to al quaeda whatsoever) I remember the days of the Iran hostage crisis, the Achille-Laurel , Pan Am 103, Terry Anderson…. terrorism really only works when the terrorist see capitulation to their cause, or let me put it another way “appeasement”.
Besides…it’s really not a popularity contest for America anymore. After September 11, and the anthrax attacks, things changed for your average american joe. For many of us it became a question of survival. ie…taking the fight to the enemy

    e) brings the unpopular term of “collateral damage” on a whole country: civil people die from injuries, starvation and illness caused by DU-ammunition.

Our soldiers are going out of their way to not inflict collateral damage, and are bringing in food, and medicine, and treating the civilians and hostiles.

    f) IS a real threat to your fellow citizens in uniform. US soldiers die from bullets NOT from peace-activists expressing their opinion!

US soldiers need our support right now. Saddam is counting on the peace movement to weaken resolve. It’s a tactic he’s used before, and will not hesitate to do again. OBL counted on the same thing. And as I write this, “peace activist’s” are trying to block US ports from shipping supplies to our men and women in uniform. Who are you trying to fool?

martin sheen only wanted to express his fear about what you are doing right here: seriously offending people for saying what they believe in!

I could argue with you that the American soldier fought for Sheen’s right to say what he is saying, and will continue to fight for his right to do so. In that spirit, an in that vein lets us give thanks to those men and women, and our right to debate.

Look I have no problem with Martin/Susan/George whatever expressing his or her opinion as I myself am doing right here, but when they claim to speak for me they are out of line.

Americans are an opinionated bunch, this american included. It’s what makes this country great.
To our men an women overseas God Bless!

  8. No not loon there D&D just a nit wit since any loon(bird)is much more smarter then that jerk martin sheen it too bad he did not keep the tape over his mouth since as the modern adage gose A CLOSED MOUTH GATHERS NO FOOT and sheen is the jerk who just tasted his own T.J.(toe jam)
