John Kerry – Always Thinking of Self

Where was Senator John F. Kerry of Massachusetts when the funeral of 22 year old Matthew Boule of Dracut, Massachusetts was being held?

Matthew was the first soldier native to Massachusetts who died in the Iraq war.

So where was Kerry?

He was in Arizona fundraising and campaigning.

The governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney (a republican) was present at Matthew’s service and during the same time Kerry was stating in Arizona that “life is for the living“. Duh, John ya think so? Did Michael Moore write that line for you?

Even though Kerry is a Vietnam veteran and uses that in his campaigning and fundraising all the time – - he couldn’t take the day off from raising funds for himself to pay respect to Matthew and his family.

Again I have to ask – - is this the guy we want running this nation?

  1. i live in AZ. i wish i knew about this and where he was here, i would have went. asked him how he felt about the situation. that would have been priceless.

is he running for president next term or something? he is going to have to wait until bush is done with his second term.

  2. He is hoping to get the nomination

  3. shame on you kerry. you are power hungry and womanizer like clinton you are a good partner.
    shame on you.

  4. Kerry’s absence was 100% EXCUSABLE. This coming from someone who generally agrees with you. Please, spare me the ridiculous moral outrage.

  5. It is perfectly acceptable to miss a funeral such as that. He had no obligation to be there. In his case, I would probably have gone to Arizona as well, and not missed a WINK of sleep. How does missing that funeral have ANYTHING to do with patriotism? Take issue with his positions, sure. Condemn him for his blatant hypocrisy, fine. But when you start blasting him for missing a funeral of a guy he never knew, then, please, get over yourselves.

  6. @sandy:
sending a 22 year old boy to a place with the intention to murder and the danger of being murderded is inexcusable…

and apart from this- what do his family and friends have from a rotten dude like a politician showing up at the funeral? or if the president himself or the pope had showed up or what VIP so ever? a short moment of maybe an hour and a whole life for their friend, brother and son to be dead!!!

and finally. if kerry had showed up, you guys (and me too) would have called it campaigning anyway! right?

  7. I keep hearing/reading qualifying statements of John Kerry’s military career in Vietnam. I am just curious what exactly he did over their. I will bet money he never saw action, nor did anything more than have a uniform on.
Since the liberals often attack Republicans who have less than a Purple Heart, I wonder if there is a double standard here. Does anyone know of his military credentials? Are they worth mentioning?

  8. Research on my above note about Kerry’s credentials:

It is a good thing I did not bet money about Kerry’s military credentials. He was awarded a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, and 3 Purple Hearts for his duty in Vietnam.
But, I still would like to know what qualified him for these awards; and I would like to hear it from more than one source….
I am seriously doubting the ethics of his receiving these awards.
Most military personel have to be wounded to get one Purple Heart, and I am finding it difficult to uncover exactly what got him three…. Does anyone know the details?
As far as I can tell, he was given awards to appease his anti-war descent.
But I am head hunting…. hehehe

  9. Your comments all seem to be pretty pompous to me. They are also quite judgmental. Who are you to say whether or not John Kerry should have been at the funeral? How about respect for the soldier’s family and their privacy? Personally, if it was my brother who died in the war, I would not want a politician showing up while I am trying to grieve; bringing the glare of camera lights and such. And let’s face it, if he did show up many of you would turn it around and say he was simply doing it for publicity. If and when Mr. Kerry receives the Democratic nomination I will be more concerned about his policy ideals than whose funeral he chooses to attend. And to the girl who said that he will have to wait until the end of Bush’s second term, don’t count on it. Who would have thought #41 would have lost to a Democrat in 1992? Furthermore, after 8 prosperous years, who would have imagined that a republican would have received as many votes as he did in 2000?

  10. Kerry is a wannabe.
He is not the slightest bit Irish by the way.
His family is from Jewish origin.
He wishes he was Jack Kennedy. (He’s a democrat from Mass, now uses F. initial, he is Catholic- his grandfather converted from Judiasm, military veteran, etc.)
Do not trust this man, he is a phony!!!

  11. I don’t know about you but I’m just happy with the USA getting a sane man not intent on taking over the world with “American values”. Soooo, I support John Kerry. And why don’t you stop your whining. If you want every bigshot to show up then why aren’t you angry at cheney or bush? Or are you just angry at the “commie bastards” in the DEMOCRATIC party? There doesn’t seem to be any political talk in america, just flaming and angry, stupid, statements. Come with a political point. And how can you be angry at someone NOT showing up for other guys funeral. Why not leave them alone and let them pull them self back instead of using this disgusting way to get more votes for bush. And why do you have to vote for all presidents who has fought a war? Isn’t that a bad example?
