Disney picks up Moore’s new ‘Documentary’

DISNEY’s modern-day magic kingdom has room for all: Now joining Mickey and Minnie and Pooh bear and Goofy — is Hollywood badboy Michael Moore, the DRUDGE REPORT explains.

The WALT DISNEY CO. is set to spend millions financing a new explosive Bush-bashing documentary from Michael Moore [BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE] — a documentary which claims bin Laden was greatly enriched by the Bush family!

DISNEY, via subsidiary MIRAMAX, has agreed to cover the production costs, said to be in the millions, of Moore’s planned FAHRENHEIT 911.

“The primary thrust of the new film is what has happened to the country since Sept. 11, and how the Bush administration used this tragic event to push its agenda,” Moore explains.

FAHRENHEIT 911 will be released during the upcoming presidential election cycle. [More Moore in '04.]

The director claims he will document on film how the “senior Bush kept his ties with the bin Laden family up until two months after Sept. 11.”

Moore will also scrutinize, in graphic detail, why America is so disliked abroad.

With DISNEY financing now secure, Moore, who once railed against corporate media interests, may appear at this week’s Cannes film festival in France.

LOL…nah — I come from a generation of Mouseketeers myself!

Seriously, just in time for the elections?!? How absolutely lovely! This guy’s ego is as big as his is, if not bigger. It’s like he’s trying to single-handedly bring down Bush.

Surely not everyone can be stupid enough to think this guy’s for real. Even the staunchest Democrat should be able to see through this one — at least I would certainly hope so.

Okay, I need to clarify that statement. I’m the offspring of the original generation of Mouseketeers. Sorry about that…

Michael Moore – the original Fat Bastard.

You know, as much as Clinton abused the power of having the IRS audit the people that publicly disagreed with him, I hope GWB has them look really hard at Michael Moore. I’ve had about all I can stand of this idiot.

Walter Disney was a conservative, and would be rolling over in his grave. Don’t they know that?

Judging by their countless (and unwanted) direct-to-video sequels to animated classics and cheesy affiliations with pro sports teams, I doubt very much Walt’s dignity is ever considered by those at the top of Disney right now.

Disney should do their homework. This article originally appeared in The Independent and can be found at http://www.independent.com.uk
This is an excerpt from the article written by
    Yasmin Alibhai Brown.

I took my son to see Michael Moore live at the Roundhouse, in north London, before Christmas.

What we did not expect was to feel so enraged at one point that we almost walked out. It was when Moore went into a rant about how the passengers on the planes on 11 September were scaredy-cats because they were mostly white. If the passengers had included black men, he claimed, those killers, with their puny bodies and unimpressive small knives, would have been crushed by the dudes, who as we all know take no disrespect from anybody.

The rest of the article is great and http://www.moorewatch.com has it also.
If Disney wants to give funding to a person with this kind of rationale-than I’m done with them.

Michael Moore is the classice attack dog for the left. His abrasive style will allow them to attack any detractors. They will claim(if you disagree with him) that you are attacking Moore because of his “working class roots” or because he is a lardass. They will discount any evidence of falsehood or spin by stating that your are a snob about his poor dress and even poorer manners. They will use this guy everychance they get and he benefits by raking in the swag. After all, he is in the news, he is recognized and he doesn’t appear to care what you say about him. After all, he is worth over a $100 million now, lives the life of luxury in Manhatten(lease on upper westside pad is over a million a year), LA and Colorado. Has a fleet of limousines and SUVs (all GM products). Sends his daughter( I hate to think how she will turn out)to an exclusive and very expensive private academy in NYC. I do not think that Mr. Moore is doing anything other than getting more wealthy by the minute. He has the majority of current college Liberal Arts Majors bamboozled. He pretty well owns the media and his “fictitious” crockumentaries are shown at Art Museums and film festivals. He is paid for the rights to show his film and these museums are financed by donations and taxpayer dollars. I decided to stop giving an annual donation to the OKC Art Museum because they had special showings of Bowling for Columbine. I will give my $200 per year instead to the Pollard Theatre.

I read about his daughter going to private school-Nice liberal huh? I get it now. Liberals have to be stinking wealthy to really understand the “working class stiffs”. Michael understands the assembly line worker better now for owning fleets of cars-he can really relate to the hard work that went into the making. Michael understands a construction worker better, because he probably sat on his fat behind “watching” them build his home and luxury retreat. I guess to speak for the common man you have to be speaking from outside the bubble..well gee thanks Michael, you do have an insight that my own eyes overlooked. Wow!

This is an ingenious, yet diobolical scheme by Mr. Moore.

He has associated himself with the most difficult company in the world for many of us to boycott. I loved Disney films growing up, and I could never imagine not sharing this magic with my children. We have an extensive VHS library of magically wonderful tales like Snow White, Bambi, Cinderella…well, you get the point. I was going to refresh our library in DVD- I’d love to see have The Lion King in DVD! If you have children, it is almost impossible to do- how can I turn down my chidren from seeing their favorites? They LOVE Lilo and Stich.

And now Moore does this, and the modern Disney Money making machine has sold the last remnant of thier soul to Satan himself.

    Pitiful,

    Ted

I can’t believe this guy. And to think Disney would waste it’s time and money on a man that totally misrepresented (from what I’ve read) the true story at Columbine and then called it a documentary. Disney has been going downhill for a long time. Guess we won’t be spending money on them either. Thank goodness we have a supply of Disney classics.

a moore-movie by disney? poor old Walt will rotate in his grave… where are those good ole’ times of an FBI-snitch at the top of a children entertainment company?

PS: mr. moore probably sends his daughter to a private school, because too many incidents have shown him that the great american freedom to have guns doesn’t stop in public classrooms…

Heck, Walt Disney would probably be rolling over in his grave if he saw how progressively liberal the projects from his studio are becoming.

FWIW, I don’t think a production featured by the Disney company, especially the likes of Miramax, will be that difficult to boycott. The Miramax company is notorious for being terribly liberal, and briefly launched a political/celebrity magazine called Talk, which I believe lasted perhaps a year at the most. None of this surprises me at all.

It’s always a little bizarre for me to see someone who’s achieved success through classic capitalist means spouting socialism. I mean, Moore took a big risk maxing out his credit cards to make “Roger and Me”. He reaped bigtime rewards from that risk. What is that if not the strategic deployment of capital towards a productive end (for some value of “productive” that includes churning out crap – but at least people bought tickets).

Now he’s an integral part of the Big Business that is the film industry – even to the point of winning an Oscar and getting funding from Disney.

But does he understand the lesson of his own life? No. Ugh.

(I could go on, but it’s too depressing.)

I have a question for everyone. The democrats are fighting Bush’s tax cuts to all of us. They are attacking him over it. Now for the question: Aren’t the Hollowood people, Senators, etc in this “1%” of rich people that they say will get a break on taxes? They’re cutting their own throats when they say the tax care plan will not help the average American but will benefit the rich. Confused over this one.

    Common,

they have all those tax-dodges.(I think Moore has tax-Cadillacs)…sorry, I couldn’t help it.

Anyway, what do they care. If the political order that THEY all espouse comes into power, THEY think that THEY will be exempt from it’s effects since THEY are the elite. Gee, a few of my keys seem to be stuck.

There is no one who makes me as angry as that miscreant Michael Moore. I do not care if he is fat, hell, I have been fat several times in my life so who the hell cares. I do care about his devoted followers who will accept anything that liar says. And our Media Culture loves Micheal Moore.

Will the true American worker/taxpayer stand up. It really bothers me, I know this is off topic but need to say it, that out of our Social Security Fund, Clinton gets his retirement salary (or whatever you call it) and as far as I know- these people do NOT pay into the fund. if I’m wrong, please excuse me.

yes we Americans do have the God given right to bear Guns and I thank God we have that right to especially considering that when Hitler ruled your Country he installed Gun Controls against my Jewish brothers and various others later on so that he’d be able to cram Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, Hungarians anyone who opposed him and various others into Concentration Camps.

Even though we Americans do have the right to Keep and Bear Arms let me give you info on other laws regarding Guns.

1st of all In the United States it is illegal for a person under 18 to be in posession of a Rifle

It is illegal for a Person under 21 to be in Possession of a Handgun.

If a child commits a crime with a Gun the Parent and/or Owner of the Gun can be held legally responsible for the Crime.

It is illegal to being a Gun into School and on top of that the stories of Children killing children in Schools are somewhat exaggerated anyways since most of the children killing children does not even happen in Public Schools but happens out in the Streets in Gang Warfare and the Gangs certainly did not purchase the Guns legally but in fact obtained them through illegal means.

Most of the Guns legally Purchased are not used in Crimes at all.

Most of the Guns that are used in Crimes are those obtained illegally (Such as Stealing, Black Market trade and various other means)

Stun Guns which are also called Tasers are in fact illegal in my State Michigan but there are people in Michigan who have them anyways.

Banning Guns and other Gun Controls will not reduce Crime because Criminals can get Guns no matter what the laws are.

Crime has actually increased in England and Australia.

The U.S. cities with the strictest Gun Laws such as New York City and Washington, D.C. have the Highest Murder rates in the whole U.S.A.

Wanna know where a lot of illegal weapons distributed in the United States come from.

A great deal of illegal weapons cross the U.S.-Mexican Border along with illegal Drugs nearly everyday.

And get this Mexico’s laws on Guns are a lot Stricter than Canada. Has been for years too.

So to put it this way Mexico has stricter laws on Guns than Canada yet a lot of the illegal Guns in the U.S. come outta Mexico.

Oh and if anyone thinks Gun Control will work in Canada well I read an Article from a Canadian Newspaper online that pointed out that a lot of Canadians deliberately failed to Register whatever Firearms they were suppose to Register by a certain dated in 2003 (This came not from a U.S. Article but from a Canadian Article).

Also 3 Canadian Provinces Enacted Pro-Gun laws in rebellion to the Federal Canadian Gun Laws.

Those 3 Provinces that enacted the Pro-Gun laws are Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

A Criminal in England was interviewed being asked how he felt about the Gun Laws.

He said it ain’t gonna stop him cause if you pay him $50 he’ll get you a Gun no problem.

Then you look at Mexico’s attitude toward drugs which is pretty lax and you go hummmm.

Maybe it’s a matter of political survival. The Mexican gov’t doesn’t want guns in the hands of its citizenry, for fear of a possible coup…

    Or is it qou…quo…kooo…

Armed takeover of the government, that’s what I mean. Anything’s possible in a place like Mexico.
