Bryant Gumbel on President Bush: “Don’t Get Me Started!”
You may not be able to see Bryant Gumbel every morning anymore, but he doesn’t seem to have lost any of his contempt for conservatives or George W. Bush.
Last week on HBO’s Real Sports, a news magazine program about sports topics which Gumbel anchors once a month, when Bob Costas suggested that some are thinking about the possibility of making Bush the Commissioner of Major League Baseball when he leaves the presidency, an aghast Gumbel sniffed: “Don’t get me started!”
Poor Brian – he tried to escape Bush by changing from a talk show host that dealt wtih current affairs and politics to a sports talk show host. What do you suppose his next career move will be if Bush ever becomes the Baseball Commissioner? Maybe he’ll switch over to the cooking channel?

I could’ve used conservative, but then I would be generalizing. I wouldn’t want to do anything to offend the conservatves that a little more tolerant and less up-tight about people with dissenting views.

Funny, we have a few liberals that post on here regularly, and if you read around a little bit you’ll see they’re welcomed as friends. Maybe, just maybe, it’s because they debate in a civil manner instead of just jumping in and going straight for the insults. Try actually making a point instead of namecalling.

Everyone else- well said. First the insults, trying to get you mad so you can’t debate logically. The name calling is next. Liberals cannot argue logically, they get overwhelmed because they have no facts to back them up. By the way Ed- my daughter asked if a fascist is like getting a facial or an infection of the face. I just told her it was another name for a liberal.

I looked up Ed’s name on his email address, and it came out to “Bryant Gaylord Aloysius Grumble!” I always had my doubts about Bryant, now they are comfirmed! I’ve also noticed how his career has dovetailed since he left the comforts of the skirt of Katie Couric, who is such a flaming liberal that her smile tries to hide it! And Real Sports is a third-rate sports oriented version of 60 Quaaludes (Minutes), so called by my cousin since it always put him to sleep!

Ten years ago today the goverment of your dictator in chief Fidel Castro ,althout you like to call him President, killed over 40 people including children who were trying to escape the island.
