A new postage stamp that honors the nation’s military has been unveiled. Dedication and unveiling ceremonies were held throughout the nation yesterday to introduce the stamp. The 37-cent stamp has been issued as a form of recognition of those who have been awarded the Purple Heart (which is given to those who have been wounded and/or killed in action).
On a side note – I will be using these stamps as well as other military type stamps as just another way to show my support of the military.
Wow, I will have to get some. Along with my Audrey Hepburns…
I have three books of the flag ones and almost a full book of the Breast Cancer Awareness ones.
This is awesome! I can’t wait to tell my Father.
I TOO WILL NOT USE ANY OTHER THAN THE PURPLE HEART. WHERE WOULD THIS NATION BE WITHOUT THEIR SACRIFICES?? I URGE YOU WHO LOVE OUR TROOPS TO GO TO http://www.operationmilitarypride.org AND GET THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF A SERVICE MEMBER. WE SENT CARE PACKAGES TO A SOLDIER. WE RECEIVED LETTERS FROM HIM TODAY. I CAN’T TELL YOU WHAT IT FELT LIKE READING THAT THE BOXES WERE LIKE GIFTS FROM HEAVEN!! AWESOME!! A SMALL THING THAT MEANS A LOT TO SOMEONE FAR FROM HOME!! GOD BLESS THEM ALL!!
Well said all. I’m going to the Post office tomorrow and get some. It’s about time they started supporting the troops. I’ve always chosen the flag stamps. Definitely geting the new ones.
