Spike Lee Wants U.S. to Focus on Issues

Spike Lee says Americans need to think more about important issues and lay off the fluff.

“We as a people are more concerned with J.Lo and Ben Affleck than these so-called weapons of mass destruction,” he told 750 people who gathered Tuesday night at the University of Redlands.

The director also criticized the country’s intervention in Iraq.

North Korea poses a greater threat to the United States “but they don’t have resources” the country wants, he said. “We’ve got all the rice we need. We don’t have oil.”

Another Follywood political expert.

Yes, there is a lot of fluff put out each and every day by the media – - so perhaps if we, as a people, are supposed to lay off the fluff then I’d say that we, as a people, would have to solve this situation by getting rid of the liberal media – - who constantly put celebrities and those like them on the front page, as though world altering news, while important world issues and updates are down played unless it feeds into the realm of what can be turned into more fodder for liberal hysteria.
