Lieberman:Dean Will ‘Melt’ Under GOP Attacks

“If we had strong leadership in the Democratic Party, they would be calling those other candidates and saying, ‘Hey look, somebody’s going to have to win here,’ ” Dean said. He added that “if Ron Brown were chairman, this wouldn’t be happening,” referring to the late former DNC chairman.

Dean spoke with McAuliffe yesterday morning to clear the air. They chatted for about five minutes, according to Dean aide Kate O’Connor, who called the conversation “very, very friendly,” but refused to elaborate. DNC spokeswoman Debra DeShong also declined to describe the content of what she said was a private conversation. She offered no indication McAuliffe was prepared to intervene in the escalating fight between Dean and his rivals. “The chairman understands and the message is that politics is a combat sport, and ultimately it’s going to be up to the voters to decide what they like and don’t like,” DeShong said.

Dean is right – - someone has to win here. However, here’s a news flash for Dr. Dean – - no one wins until the primaries are over. Until then – it’s fair game.

Howie, if you can’t take the heat — get outta the kitchen! Maybe James can put in a request for “Dean: The Whiner”

Poor guy, he’s being picked on.

  1. And this guy wants to be president, the most public life of all. Hmmm, if he can’t take the heat of his own party, what makes him think he can take on the Republican party? and we won’t even have to fib about his policy, we know he is a kook!

  2. Not too mention the heat of the world community if he ever won office.

Who would he whine to then? The UN?

  3. He wouldn’t take the heat from the world community, he’s already said he plans to give in to the UN on anything it wants. That along with his promise to raise taxes he shouldn’t have a prayer in a general election. However I think the best thing that could happen is if some other democrat wins the primary and dopey dean runs independent and splits the lefty vote.

  4. Unless the stragedy backfires and splits the RIGHT vote, in much the same way Perot did during Clinton’s elections.

  5. You have to wonder about the strategy of all this. I think the Clinton machine is working this to prep Shillary for a last minute call up.

  6. Man, I hope not.

As it is, she IS making a visit to St. Louis this week, and of course, it’s been mentioned that the Midwest is a MAJOR campaign target these days. So man, I hope that’s not what that means — I REALLY would like four more years of relative sanity before we have to worry about her.
