Terrorists try to recruit child as suicide bomber
Palestinian terrorists tried to recruit a 15-year-old as a suicide bomber, at one point locking him in a dark room, but also luring him with clothes, a cell phone and promises of paradise, his family said Tuesday.
The story of ninth-grader Tamer Khweirah, who was extricated by an alert older brother, underscored the growing use of children by terrorists and stoked Palestinian debate over what is permissible in the fight with Israel.
Assist me with this one — if you kill yourself for the cause…we’ll give you clothing and a cell phone? Is that so he is well dressed and can phone home once he hits paradise?
That mothers face just broke my heart! These kids can’t possibly have any understanding!
How come these religious leaders send countless young Palestinians to kill themselves (and a bunch of random Israelis) but they never blow themselves up?

this is just a simple case of hijacking a religion or a cause just for terror, for bloodshed, and that is exactly what those people understand, so as long as they live there will never be peace there because that is not what they want… they want to killing, they stive for violence, just for violence’s sake… nothing more. their animals of the worst kind.
and I’m glad this family is standing up to them, good.
Unfortunately, I think this is only the beginning. 18, 15, 12, 8, 5, 3, Infant. If blowing up a 20 year old (and a bunch of random Israelis) makes sense to you, blowing up an infant (and a bunch of random Israelis) probably will make sense to you also.
todd- you have been asked many times to clarify your points..what is it that you are saying? This isn’t a made up article..these are facts. The terrorists are using children and that is the point of our discussion. In the US, a person that does harm to children is on the lowest wrung of the food chain, especially in our prisons. So for us to look at a group that recruits a child to do something horrible, because the adult is too afraid to do the horrible act, makes us take a step back. I am sure you will give us a link though, that will prove this to be GWB’ fault. You are either really naive, or just have no concept of what is going on.
Hmm peejz, it sound to me like todd is calling the 15 year old recruits dumb. Or maybe he is justifying using the 15 year olds for suicide bombing.
You can never tell, becasue his posts aren’t clear to begin with. Until he begins to clarify them, you can only make assumptions.

ted- the sad thing is, I understood exactly what you said, and todd has posted twice since then, and I still have yet to figure out the plot. I will go with ted on this..todd you would do well to take your own advise and slow down on the typing. You make no valid points with which we can draw a logical basis for your arguement. Out of all the posters, I find ted to be the most “liberal” minded. So for him to become frustrated with you speaks volumes.

I concede I am a horrible typists- never took a course in my life.
And for the record, I am a moderate (I do lean slightly conservative). In many instances I do not agree with what is posted here, but I try to make an effort to logically support my positions. I beleive The Parties are evOL.
This said, I often debate on other sites- both liberal and conservative. I do find that liberals generally have a less rational, more emotional approach to their positions. Conservatives tend to look at an issue with less emotion, and sometime even coldly.
Of course, these observances do not hold true in ever instance, and I do not mean to cloak anyone under sweeping generalities at all. It is just a casual observation.

The Jerusalem Post, whether he believes their a valid source or not is there. they are involved in this everyday… their reporters live their… Al Jazeera doesn’t live with Bin Laden… it’s like saying that the Washington Post was not a valid source on 9/11 when the plane hit the pentagon… the thing about todd is that no matter what is posted here he will take the opposite view of what the majority think… no matter how stupid he sounds, no matter if he makes a fool of himself… your right ted… he’s a troll.
