Bring Out The Dead

”Nightline” devotes show to reading war dead names

A U.S. television news program is to dedicate an entire broadcast to a reading of the names of American servicemen and women killed in action in Iraq. Ted Koppel will read aloud the names of those killed since the March 2003 start of the Iraq war on the Friday edition of ABC News ”Nightline”, the network said on Tuesday. The reading will be accompanied by a photograph of each person named.

Why just Iraq? Why not Afghanistan KIA’s, too?

Couldn’t be because Koppel would be using our fallen heros to push a political agenda about the Iraqi war?

  1. More than likely it is! Does anyone watch Nightline?

  2. Hey, if he spends all his air time on that, maybe he’ll convince both his viewers to vote for Kerry.

  3. The Fighting Kentuckian

That’s exactly what he’s up to! And while he’s at it why not read the names of our war dead from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Granada, Panama and Gulf War I? What these idiots don’t realize is, that sometimes wars have to be fought and, unfortunately, people are going to be killed. Just go back in time and ask the Sullivan family. These parents lost all five sons from the sinking of one ship. But did they blame the president? Did they blame the country? No and no. They went on bond drives and tours. And gave interviews to urge on the war effort so their beloved sons would not have died in vain. I think these Libbies need to learn a lesson from them. Don’t you?

  4. The Fighting Kentuckian

And, yes, let us not forget Afghanistan and all the other wars we’ve been involved in, i.e. Clinton’s wars. And what about all those killed in peacetime? They were doing their duty and were just as loved by their families. Libbies have selective thinking. When they think at all. Which isn’t often and always muddled.

  5. why no pictures of coffins? i’m not sure that that many have died. i’d like to see some proof.

  6. You would, dick.

Call up some of the families and ask if you can see the pictures of their family in their coffin, dick. That would be the right thing to do.

  7. Dick is too concerned with trying to be wittingly sarcastic to be worried about silly little things like “doing the right thing”.

    Ted

  8. What’s Nightline?

  9. gee jennifer can’t even get the facts correct on the recall! I vote to recall jennifer!

  10. I second that vote!!! jennifer, go back to the shire and suck a hobbits toes… sad strange little ??? girl???

How many coffins did we see in WWII? Korea? and then look at Vietnam… the beginning of the liberal movement to the extreme left… because John F. Kennedy implemented tax cuts as well. and he was a democrat.
