It’s not often that I put things up here that asks for donations from the readers. Don’t get me wrong – this isn’t a donation to Right Voices or anything of the sort. It’s a donation to the Spirit of America Challenge.

Our mission is to expand the abilities of Americans serving abroad to improve the quality of life of people at the grass roots level. Our objectives are to:
• Increase the reach, scale and impact of the informal humanitarian activities that take place on the front lines in troubled regions.
• Contribute charitable goods that can have a positive, practical and timely impact in the local communities where American personnel are involved.
• Improve foreign perceptions of the American people and our presence abroad.Spirit of America is a not-for-profit organization supported through private sector contributions and in-kind support. It is being launched under the auspices of the Cyber Century Forum, a 501c3 public foundation. Donations to Spirit of America and the requests we feature are tax deductible.
You can make a direct donation. Or – they have an awesome auction going on where people have donated goods and services for your donation to the Spirit of America.
The Spirit of America Challenge ends tonight. They have raised approximately $43K so far – and are looking to raise $50K by midnight tonight!
Give them a hand and donate or bid on some of the services offered by participants and help them reach their goal by midnight!

Yea – Kevin’s blog runs BlogAds – - he’s the guy who is organizing the auction.
The Spirit of America is more about supporting the troops abroad – - the people involved aren’t necessarily Republicans…nor do they all support the Republican party. It’s about the troops.
