Kerry Spouting off

Kerry Accuses Bush of “Rushing to war”

“We rushed off to war without an adequate plan, without adequate supplies … without a plan to win the peace,” Kerry said.

Yet Kerry, who backed the congressional resolution authorizing Bush to use force in Iraq, had no snap answer when a woman asked: “What do you plan to do to bring our troops home?”

Kerry said he could not predict what the situation would be in Iraq on Jan. 20, 2005, when he would be inaugurated as president if he beats Bush in the November election.

But he said, “I’m going to get our troops home as fast as possible with honor and the job accomplished in the way it needs to be.”

A rush to war he says. How many times did they try to enforce resolutions on Saddam’s Iraq and for how many years? Here’s a hint: You more than two hands to count them.

Without adequate supplies? Is it just my imagination – or was it Kerry who voted against the $87 billion supplemental that included pay raises for our troops, gave them better health care and sent them essential equipment including body armor? That is – as we all know, Kerry voted for it before he voted against it.

“It is not enough” to honor only “past generations,” Kerry said. “We must pay tribute to their service by keeping our commitment to the men and women who wear the uniform today.”

So, why didn’t Kerry?

The military respect Bush. Bush has done more to honor our men and women in the military, past and present, just be being true to his word and inspiring their resolve in backing up his words with action in the interest of this country and its people.

How does Kerry honor the military? When he came home from Vietnam – how did he honor his compadres in arms? You know the answer to that.

  1. Regards “adequate supplies”, he MIGHT have been referring to supplies for the Iraq’s for rebuilding and getting their stuff together. Depends on other parts of the speech given as I don’t have the whole thing (don’t care to).

  2. As usial kerry as with the rest of the jackass party of treachory just make a lot on idiotic sensless braying and making no common sence at all

  4. It’s hard to imagine any president hurting the military more than Bush.

There’s no point even mentioning that the Iraq war is stretching the armed forces thin. That the deficit eventually will have to be paid at the expense of the military. That veteran’s benefits . . . well, the list is long.

But it must be mentioned that the unpopularity of Bush’s MessO’potamia adventure eventually must spill over into criticism of the military and, eventually, into a natural withdrawal of public support for the military.

As The Enigmatic Paradox has noted, opposition to the war is growing in the military in part, at least, as the senior command recognizes this danger.
