Say You’re Sorry
The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth say they will cease and desist their campaign and ads, after Senator John Kerry apologizes for his conduct after he returned from Vietnam, clarifies the conflicting accounts involving the Bay Hap River incident of March 13, 1969 (Bronze Star and 3rd Purple Heart), affirms that the injuries for which he received his purple hearts never required any medical treatment beyond perhaps a bandage, and acknowledge what his own biographer is now saying, that the Christmas in Cambodia claim is “obviously wrong”.
Will he? Won’t he?
I don’t think he will.

LisaS,
Kerry can’t admit to anything. If Kerry told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, his campaign and political life would be finished, and probably his marriage.
Then you have the Kerry Kool-aid drinkers like shiloh who won’t let Kerry tell the truth. They are too wrapped up investing themselves in promulgating Kerry’s lies. They are so blind that they can’t see the same door bashing themselves in the face time and time again.

You know…maybe he won’t apologize because he doesn’t feel he was wrong, and not because he’s a “liberal pansy wanker.”
And as for that his wounds didn’t require serious medical attention, well, so? I mean, we can all think he did or did not deserve the purple heart, etc, but he didn’t choose to recieve them or anything. They were given to him, and if we start questioning who deserves purple hearts then we’re going to have a lot of angry veterans.
You know what though? All this about both Bush and Kerry, and who served where, and how many people they killed or how badly they were hurt or who served “more honorably”, is almost completely pointless shit. As though serving in a war makes one more intelligent, more rational, more cabale of ethical reasoning, more capable of making foreign policy and economic decisions. Both sides should get back to explaining the issues instead of trying to discredit their opponent.
