shiloh..maybe I'm being "tongue in cheek" here but "condemns stem cell research, women?s right to decide whether to bear a child under any circumstances, and gay people." You wrote that yes? Let me ask you something..Are you new at all to politics? Of course the REP party identifies with these issues...just like the DEM's identify with Communism, Socialism and well just basically laying down with the enemy. If they had their way we wouldn't be fighting terrorism..we'd have it as our mistress.

The Republican party platform, written in large part by Phyllis Schlafly and her Eagle Forum, condemns stem cell research, women's right to decide whether to bear a child under any circumstances, and gay people. Just as a historical curiosity, I present the fact that at the Republican Convention in New Orleans in 1988, Mrs. Schlafly gave a party with the theme “Let the Good Times Roll,” thus proving the enduring role of irony at political conventions.

on our 'friends', internationaly:
Look, the Coalition of the Willing is a public embarrassment, a monument to diplomatic witlessness, not to mention open bribery. To blame others for our diplomatic failure is both fatuous and offensive. Then to repeat Bush’s obnoxious little bully line, “You’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists,” is both stupid and dangerous.

When I got home, all that was on was Kerry whining about his patriotism being challenged. Bush and Cheney are too nice to do it, but I am offended that the press, the uninformed, and house organs like dg, shiloh, etc. give Kerry a pass for going to Paris while a Naval officer to have an unauthorized meeting with an enemy we were at war with and then come home to offer aid and comfort to that enemy by proclaiming and promoting the enemy's demands. That's being a Traitor, not a Patriot.

his speech was everything I thought it was going to be... strong, defiant, refreshing, informative, emotional (every single one of them        ) I don't think he left one out... anyway, he did a great job and really wasn't negative at all... he was very positive, upbeat. but the thing that struck me was that he has a plan and he laid it out... he put his agenda out there for all of us to see... what did Kerry do? he used a grocery list of democratic quotes and dwelled, not on the future, but on the past... he is the candidate of the past, President Bush is the candidate of the future... he knows in which direction to take us... Kerry doesn't even know which direction he himself wants to go... here we are two months to go and Kerry is still trying to define himself, not through actions, but from his past, and only four months of it at that... President Bush has defined himself for the last four years, through his words, yes, but more so by his actions... that's why I will vote for him and not just because I'm a Republican, but because I believe he is the best man for the job...

and if you see anything that I have written is wrong, please prove it.
