The Face of Desperation

Just in case you didn’t know what desperation looks like:

Kerry rips W, Cheney

“For the past week, they attacked my patriotism and my fitness to serve as commander-in-chief … Well, here’s my answer,” Kerry said.

“I’m not going to have my commitment to defend this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they could have and by those who have misled the nation into Iraq.”

Bush spent the Vietnam War in the Texas Air National Guard. Cheney got five deferments and once explained that he had “other priorities.”

The thing is that neither Bush, nor Cheney, attacked Kerry’s patriotism. They didn’t say he was unfit to serve as commander-in-cheif, either. What they did do was review his voting record in the Senate.

Someone has to do it! Someone has to talk about John Kerry, the Senator – - because John Kerry, the Senator isn’t talking about John Kerry, the Senator!

Questioning a politicians voting record in the Senate does NOT equate to questioning his patriotism. This seems to be a typical mantra on the left. Pointing out that he voted against bills that are designed to keep our nation safe, to equip our military currently serving this country and that defend our great nation is NOT questioning his patriotism

It is putting his judgement into question. And some very important questions they are.

Kerry sounded like a desperate man last night, in his speech immediately after the convention was over. Not to mention that he lied:

“The vice president even called me unfit for office last night.”

Check out Cheney’s speech. Do a search for the word ‘unfit. You are not going to find it.

This reeks of desperation. You almost . . . almost . . . feel sorry for the guy.

  1. Whats kerrys problem? whats he trying to hide? is he that desperate that he will say anything and do anything to get the whitehouse not including the dirty tricks of al gore? this is your typical liberal demacrat looking to steal the whitehouse like al gore tried:mad::eek::cool:

  2. yr a passionate believer and there’s nothin’ wrong with that. please allow the same passion for others that may not agree. (according to the polls, that’s half the country)

Actually, from the polls I’ve seen, that’s just a little under half. That poll you mentioned might be just a tad outdated, but then the poll in question was just posted on the home page, in all fairness, so you might not have had a chance to take a look…

You’re right about one thing, Shiloh — there’s nothing wrong with being a passionate believer. Perhaps if we saw those of you who are passionate on the other side giving us the concessions you are asking of Peejz here and show our side a bit of fairness, you would see a bit more fairness on our end. After all, aren’t the libs the ones on display as role models, by and large?

  3. i concede to your poll numbers, American Girl. i just don’t want to be called names when i express my opinion.
    here’s another opinion:
Note that Bush is back to being “a war president.” Just a few weeks ago, he was going around claiming to be “the peace president” every 10 minutes, after months of claiming to be “a war president.” So that makes the new shift a flip-flip-flop.

  4. Wrong shiloh, he said would like to be a peace president. (not that it really matters, because anyone can tell that is not what President Bush is anyway)

  5. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of G_d.

  6. AG- just re-read the title of the thread and it should all make sense to you!

  7. Bush is a peacemaker because the civilians can have a chance to live in peace without the threat of torture chambers of Saddam there in Iraq. There is only one way to stop terrorists.I guess all these liberals sympathize more with bloodthirsty dictators than they do peaceful civilians. The demonstrations in New York have proven the psychopathic and hateful nature of these liberals.I bet these countries like Russia, who did not side with us against the terrorists, are feeling foolish now,now that they are suffering from the terrorists they refused to fight. If you do not oppose terrorism then you side with it.In essence all these liberals are terrorists.Anybody that has been around know that polls for the most part are not truthful. Most of the time they are rigged with trick questions.Despite what polls say I think Bush will win by a landslide. If not then it’ll sure be a scary thought of how many brain dead people are in this country.

  8. And shiloh is an exposed poser whose background story changes each time he needs a different cover.

Read the Time poll and weep. Bush ahead by 11 points!

  9. Mort Kondrake pulled off the best punditry quip today in response to Kerry’s Midnight ramble.

Kerry: “I will not have” any questions. I simply will not have it.”

Kondrake: “He won’t have it? That’s something you say to the butler.”

  10. I’ve been looking for the full text of this speech. Does anyone know where I can find it?
    Thanks for your help.

  11. And when bill clinton was asked to recite this quote from the bible he said BLEESED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS FOR THEY SHALL INHARIT THE EARTH sorry bill but it the MEEK and as for kerry its just plain pathetic:lol::cool::smile:

  12. Wow Clinton screwed up a quote from the Bible! Who cares? Bush’s actions go against all the teachings of that Book.

  13. Wow, what a match of wits. If you really are/were in the Navy RM3 Shiloh I wish you would not have told everyone because You are completely wrong. I have and Gladly will go again into harms way for my Commander in Chief G.W. Bush. While he never served over seas in a combat role, he clearly has the mind set of a leader and has no fear when making tough decisions. I don’t think I care to follow Kerry in light of the fact that he sold out all of my military brothers when he came back from an unpopular war simply so that he would be popular….. No thanks. My vote is with G.W. Bush.
