Kerry Explains War Funding Vote

Why He Voted For It Before He Was Against It

On the eve of a foreign policy debate with President Bush, John Kerry said in an interview that his explanation of why he voted in favor of additional funding for the war in Iraq before voting against it was “one of those inarticulate moments” in the campaign.

Kerry ultimately voted against providing $87 billion for military operations and aid in Iraq and Afghanistan. Although he initially supported the appropriation when it was to be funded at least in part by rolling back tax cuts for those with the highest incomes.

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous reasons I’ve ever heard – - “It was just a very inarticulate way of saying something and I had one of those inarticulate moments”

Huh?

He is NOW saying he was protesting that wealthy Americans should share in the burden of the cost of the war so that justifies his not supporting the troops and reconstruction efforts.

Kerry went on to say the following during his interview with “Good Morning Amierca”

“We should not have gone into Iraq knowing today what we know,” Kerry told ABC.

Making statements like that I find it hard to believe this guy even has one person who is going to vote for him. For being a flip flopping fool and for making statements that are simply ridiculous I give John Kerry the “Smack of the Week”.

  1. AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! How can anybody with even an ounce of intelligence take what john says without wanting to scream. The fact that this man has been elected to any political office amazes me.

  2. I can’t watch the news anymore – I watched last night how those goofs are getting as many Americans currently in foreign countries (like France, ugh) to vote absentee – to vote Kerry. Or should I say, to vote Bush out. Then the next segment was a piece on how Healthcare was for the select few in America. (Vote Kerry, unless you’re an “idiot,” per THK). The crap goes on and on…then I flip on another channel to see the press conference with Soros. Who CARES what this person has to say???

  3. So what do we know today that we didn’t know a couple weeks ago when he said the EXACT OPPOSITE? I’m amazed too.

  4. I don’t understand why it’s ok for Bush to send people to die in war when he repeatedly avoided even military training.

  5. I Dan Rather could use a little help getting those memos authenticated.

  6. Okay, let me get something straight here.

It’s perfectly all right for Kerry to have an “inarticulate moment,” but if Bush says it, he’s stupid and dangerous and must be ousted ASAP?

The folks trying to get Bush out “because he’s an idiot” would be well advised to think long and hard on this one…
