Another Campaign Office Burglarized

Bush’s campaign office in Spokane burglarized, vandalized

Offices that house President Bush’s re-election campaign in Spokane were broken into and vandalized last night, the latest in a string of crimes at Republican offices across the country.

Workers arriving this morning found a hole smashed through the wall from an adjacent, vacant office. Bush campaign officials say a small amount of petty cash is missing and a computer and television had been moved and left near the hole.

“They must have gotten spooked because they ultimately left the computer and TV,” said Bill Hyslop, the campaign’s chairman for the Fifth Congressional District.

Still it continues – - and still no word from the AFL-CIO or Camp Kerry.

  1. these people are animals. by the way, what’s up with kerry wanting terrorism to “go back to being a nuisance?” – 1) was it ever JUST a nuisance? 2) he said a nuisance like gambling and prostituition. sorry, but do these 2 vices hurt anyone but the addict? 3) just shows his 9/10 mentality.

sorry, OT but had to vent.

  2. g’morning k. would you give me the source for the story where Kerry said terrorism was like betting and hookers? if he really said that, then he would be wrong.

the first definition of ‘nuisance’ in Websters is harm and injury. might have he had meant disorganized?

  3. shiloh do not take K’s statement out of context – - read the comment again and get it straight.

Here is a link where Kerry said terrorism should go back to being a nuisance. Link Here

I even got it from CNN so you might believe it this time since you dislike the WP and other newspapers so much.

  4. Reilly – it’s the Washington Times. not the POst.

  5. just out of curiousity, Reilly, what did i take out of context, ’cause if i did, i’m not aware of it. this could be smoothing the way for future misunderstanding if i know to what you’re referring.

  6. shiloh – you are even trying to spin this – - something definitely not worth debating.

  7. shiloh – - K was making a comparison with the mention of gambling and prostitution – - which you well know – - yet you took it out of context and wanted to know where and when Kerry said that. Read K’s comment again and you will see what I am referring to.

  8. Thanks for the backup Reilly. Yes, when he talked about wanting to bring it down to a level of nuisance, then said, ”As a former law enforcement person, I know we’re never going to end prostitution. We’re never going to end illegal gambling. But we’re going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn’t on the rise. It isn’t threatening people’s lives every day, and fundamentally, it’s something that you continue to fight, but it’s not threatening the fabric of your life.”

    (from Reilly’s article).

  9. well, not that you’ll be suprized, but i took her words at face value, and responded to them, i believe at face value. we agree to disagree. and i was not spinning as this was the first time i’d heard anything about it and was innocently asking.

stick to this – mind-reading is not your forte.

  10. 9 – I personally believe this can safely be said of you and certain other Kerry-supporters as well.

  11. although, shiloh, in post 2. you try to read kerry’s mind. and don’t take what he said at fact value. “what he meant was…”

sorry, i shouldn’t have gone OT.

  12. I don’t agree to disagree with you shiloh – - you were obviously wrong for not being able to read the comment properly so stick with this – reading is not your forte

  13. don’t apologize, K – - you did nothing wrong

  14. Reilly -re13- being someone elses conscience is how sheep, not individuals are created.

    re12 – i didn’t read it wrong.

” kerry wanting terrorism to “go back to being a nuisance?” – 1) was it ever JUST a nuisance? 2) he said a nuisance like gambling and prostituition

as i said before i was not being sarcastic – i really wanted to see the story.

& i think you should listen to post #6

  15. sorry, i should have said, “he compared terrorism with the likes of prostitution and illegal gambling.”

but i should have stuck to the topic of the main post, which was the burglary.

  16. shiloh – - your sheep analogies are getting old. Move beyond.

  17. i invoke post 6. (except for the ‘spin’ comment)

  18. Democratic HQ. over in Louisiana, where fires were set and windows broken at the Lafayette Dem HQ …
    2waystreet

NEW YORK — The Rev. Al Sharpton vowed Thursday to rebuild his fire-ravaged Harlem headquarters, and his supporters pledged help and money to keep the disaster from derailing his activist work or his new presidential campaign.

    bummer

just heard on our NBC affiliate here in Oklahoma City that someone threw a brick through a window at the Democratic Party Headquarters with a note attached…

  19. K – i’m about to fill in my absentee ballot for Nov 2.

    any last minute suggestions?

we’ve got nader, the green party, the constitutional party, the libertarian party, the democratic party and one another….i forget the name…all with presidential candidates. i’m stumped as who to vote for.

    again, g’morning. start over?

  20. since you are in MT, i am not TOOO concerned with who you vote for.

    g’morning!

  21. well that settles it. i’m going for GENE AMONDSON of Alaska running for president as the candidate of the Prohibition Party.

yes, the ‘no’ on booze Prohibition Party. a big fan of Billy Sunday and temperance. just think of it, no more drunken Democrats chasing all the chaste Republican chicks.

    (aside)
back before political correctness, you couldn’t tell a girl what you wanted. now you can tell her what you want, but you can’t call her a girl.
    weird.

  22. see look at you, shi – you’re bright red.

  23. yes, K, but originally from Boston and 30 years in California where i always sang the blues.

  24. Simply more of the same bunch of crinimals trying to intimadate their oponents and while NBC will report this they will say nothing about it at all its time for those who commit such crimes to pay for the damages themslves and to do the labor as well its time for such vandals to know that there will be conciquences for such acts of crime:mad:

  25. actually in California i voted for a few Republicans. i worked in a hotel where the Democratic incumbent congressman had an office and he was a moron and a triple-talking shill. (more than most) i voted for the Republican.

i met one Republlican candidate once who asked me what i was interested in and at the time i was going to Church for fun i said ‘bible studies’.

he got a very solemn look on his face and proceeded to tell me how he and his wife were very religious and always went to bible study and blah blah.

if i would have said anything to that particular guy he would have whored his way into my heart.

politics/like patriotism is often the last refuge of a scoundrel.

  26. -gasp-

You voted for a Republican! Does that make you a flip-flopper?

  27. Zelda, Good afternoon -
i prefer to think it makes me an independent thinker who can take things on a case by case basis. to many, tho, that does equal flip-flopping.

i once posted a list here of 20 or so positions Bush changed his mind on. eventually i got a point by point rationale, explaining why everything i said was wrong.

as Dylan once wrote: “yr right from yr side, & i’m right from mine…”

without objective truth, & with facts changing with circumstance, politics is an insane business.

  28. Yeah, that’s what a flip-flopper would say. If you change your mind you’re a flip-flopper. If you admit to a mistake, you are weak. If you are right, you don’t need to consider “things on a case by case basis”, you just do what’s right. It’s that simple. You’re either with us or against us. You communist liberals just don’t get it.

  29. Surprise — some Republicans (John McCain) can have liberal tendancies, and some Democrats (Zell Miller) can have conservative tendancies. This is little if any shock — these are people who obviously make up their own minds.

I think you guys are confusing the whole issue of flip-floppping. That’s usually regarding important sides of important issues — you know, where you stand on abortion, marriage, stem-cell research, that sort of thing. Each of these issues boil down to one single question: are you for or against it?

In most cases, you cannot be both. That is what John Kerry tries on a regular basis, and that is what is so dangerous about the idea of his running a post-9/11 America. There are certain important questions that will have to be answered: for example, is terrorism a problem or isn’t it? And Kerry’s flip-flopping gives some genuine concern to that issue for many folks who aren’t necessarily predisposed one way or another.

FWIW, I’m not voting for either Republican nor Democrat myself. That is, provided that the Constitutional Party is on the ballot, of course.

  30. I think you summed eveything up Reily:wink:

  31. There has been only been very few cases of vandalism against democrats, and very minor at that. These liberal psychopaths have even threatened lives of Bush supporters. These are the kind and caring people? If this doesn’t prove that the liberals are the biggest bunch of liars then what will?Their actions speak louder than their words.I think all the extremist liberals ouught to be deported. They spew so much hatred for this country then they ought to eat their own words. While we are at it we need to kick out the UN since they are anti-american and in our country.Law enforcement needs to round up all these liberal psychos or we might have a civil war on our hands.Any liberal psycho that threatens my life will be in for a big surprise because I am no passifist by any definition.
