John Kerry sat down for an interview with Tom Brokaw. The interview could have been so much better had Tom not ignored asking the difficult questions after some of Kerry’s responses. However, this is how the liberal media works when they clearly support someone.
Here are a couple of the questions/responses:
Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President’s military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.
Kerry: That’s great. More power. I don’t know how they’ve done it, because my record is not public. So I don’t know where you’re getting that from.
Tom then moved on to another topic instead of asking the obvious question that should have followed Kerry’s response about his records not being public.
Here’s another:
Brokaw: The flip side of that is that if you had been president, Saddam Hussein would still be in power. Because you…
Kerry: Not necessarily at all.
Brokaw: But you have said you wouldn’t go to war against him…
Kerry: That’s not true. Because under the inspection process, Saddam Hussein was required to destroy those kinds of materials and weapons.
Brokaw: But he wasn’t destroying them…
Kerry: But that’s what you have inspectors for.
Oh, that’s what they’re for! I wasn’t sure since they hadn’t done their job in many many many years and at the end they were still bumping into walls.
go away K
shiloh;
I am disappointed that you of all people would question someone who says that they are in the service.
i really wasn’t Zelda, in the context of the back and forth, i was giving him a taste of his own medicine. i never doubted him. no reason to.
okay, fair enough.
I have to say that this discussion is so much nicer to read than the ones where guys like mike kilo (or Snatch or todd) slam every opinion that doesn’t agree with their own.
Regarding the inspectors-line, keeping in mind Hans Blix’s conclusion that there were no WMDs and he didn’t exactly seem alarmed at the time that any had been moved, I have reached a definite conclusion, based not so much on intellect as sheer emotion and a gut instinct.
Kerry is very…scary!!!
I would have had to ask him, regarding Blix’s conclusion that there were no WMDs and the whole thing was much ado about nothing, how on earth he can suddenly become so incensed about how we could have possibly missed this. Blix is how we could have missed this!!!
