yep… we will be able to live if Kohn wins, cuz the republicans will hold the house and senate… If W. wins, and we pick up seats in both..you better get the suicide watch on Shiloh.
I’ll bet you half of Kerry’s minority base doesn’t even show up to vote today.
Serves the putz right. He does not deserve to be president. He hasn’t shown America a damn thing that would qualify him to be commander and chief.
They’ll show up..they are literally paying them in crack, whatever it takes, and dragging them to the polls….. twice even!
And don’t forget about the Supreme court……
Keeping those Activist judges off the bench would be a HUGE victory for American Democracy in itself.
I think liberals like Shi will crawl away to lick their wounds, but resurface so they can continue their endless stream of poisonous Bush bashing rhetoric for four more years.
I look forward to hearing them whine.
Nah, I think they’ll take the crack and keep their lazy asses at home. They can’t carry their mad dog 20/20 into the polling places.
Then they’ll cry tomorrow about how the republicans disenfranchised them.
I hope Michael Moore has a heart attack and drops dead, but not before crushing Jesse Jackson who would be standing convieniently close by when the blob goes down.
And Osama would be in tears since his favorite filmmaker had kicked the bucket. Then he and Shiloh would turn their attention back on how to scare Americans into impeaching Bush.
89. So much for your guarantees and absolute statements on the “facts” before the facts were in, kilo. Oh, well.
Hey Ellis, come on. That sounded like a biased news story to me.
I’m sure certain “details” were conveniantly left out as you know.
So, besides that, whats goin on?
true words from boortz:
Even if George Bush does win reelection today it won’t mean that our Republic is in a true jam. There is no way this election should be this close, but it is. The very fact that someone with no record to run on and no plan for the future, except to grow the size of government, should be polling over 40% of the vote.
Face the music my friends. America has almost reached a critical mass of “citizens” who believe that it is the role of government to smooth every bump on the road and to solve every personal problem. These people believe that it is the government’s responsibility, not their own, to get them a job. It’s the government’s job to monitor and take care of their health. It’s the government’s job to provide for their retirement, take care of their children, find them a place to live, and feed them.
I guess you can say that the dependency class came by it honestly. What do you expect of people who are educated by the government? Doesn’t it make perfect sense that people who are educated by the government would come away with that experience believing that government is the solution to all their problems?
Know this: The people who inhabit this country today could never pull off what our forefathers did in discovering and settling this country and in fighting for its independence. Independence is the last thing the average American wants today.
well said K.
Ellis, please stop displaying your ignorance when it comes to Philadelphia politics..if you take anthing that partisan democrat D.A. Lynn Abraham says, you are nuts… the city is a one party town, the democrats will pull off every dirty trick in the book, and the “brothers and sister” running this city (actual quote from our mayor) will do nothing about it.
I just hope I don’t get shot in an hour when I go to vote.
F-ckin A, K-
That is a perfect assessment. No personal accountability……..
Make everybody dependent on the goverment for everything……….
Sounds more like socialism than a democracy to me.
Leftism is socialism and thats not what I signed up for.
This is why I act the way I do towards the liberals.
It’s obvious that instead of upholding the values that America was founded on, they try to supplant them with an extreme leftist, secular values.
What’s worse is that they force feed them down our throats in the process.
Oh, make sure you don’t give me credit for that – I’m not nearly as eloquent as Neil Boortz! I just thought it was right on.
Good luck voting Mike.
Busy working, didn’t get to respond sooner.
I indicated earlier the possibility someone forgot to reset the computers after testing. As I program and test for a living, and do so extensively and see the mistakes many others (and myself) make in this area EASILY due to the vast number of little details to look for and consider, and considering the numbers seemed pretty random as to totals and no one said they were for any particular person or another, that all led me to believe a higher probability that someone forgot to reset after testing.
Irresponsible? Yes, to a lay person. The ONLY person that knows the degree of details involved to “remember” are the ones involved. Which holds true for a LOT of jobs.
I’m not saying it was okay or condoning it.
And from what I have seen, I am pretty much against all forms of computerized data collection for voting. I like what we have in AZ. Draw a black line between 2 black lines to make your vote. Easier than a computer would be IMO.
Shannon – I am in AZ also. I voted early, but am hearing from coworkers that they had to stand in lines for 2 + hours. And, they will start turning people AWAY at 7 pm, when the polls are supposed to close at 8. I don’t think this is right.
K- that is illegal! The doors stay open until 8:00!
And I find it hard to believe that the number in question is all the votes that these machines have seen. Nice excuse but a 2 year old has a better chance of using that excuse!
If you are in line before 8, you must be allowed to vote..by law.
do not be turned away…
114 – I think my boss was wrong – I think the actual time the polls close here is 7, not 8.
it’s amazing that all these machines are in heavily democratic, black neighborhoods……wow…what a coincidence.
I’ll be in line in 15 minutes..provided I get past the NAACP thugs and union goons…
i already voted, mike, by mail…so who knows if my vote was even counted.
Don’t say that K! Are you going to declare residency in AZ?
I switched my voter registration from NY to AZ a year or 2 ago. We have what’s called early voting here…your party sends you a ballot, and you fill it in on time, and it’s your job to make sure it gets in by 7 tonight. I mailed it last Monday I think, so I would ASSUME it made it (should have taken one day), but I don’t have the satisfaction of knowing it actually got there. I am sure it did, but ya never know. Was a pretty anti-climatic way to vote.
I think I like the piece of mind of hearing the machine beep:smile: That way I know it was counted, but it sure would be easier to be able to do it that way!
I will be anxious to hear how Mike does at the polls.
Zelda- Have you heard from your brother? If he is at all like you, I am sure he will do his job. If you can share as Reilly asked, I would love to know how he did today. Was your voting expierence uneventful?
peejz – that’s why i’m leaving early to go vote again.
Heh, I was kidding about voting again…but I AM leaving early to go get ready for the big night.
Hope we find out the winner.
GO BUSH GO!
108. Perhaps it’s a matter of the incumbent not fulfilling promises, misleading, not uniting, etc. If Bush should be running away withthis as much as you profess, then I’d look within and ask “what have I done wrong”. Is it easier to merely blame the other guy? One thing that has gotten lost of late is the wonderful state of the economy, joblessness, etc. You think that has anything to do with it?
You are way too funny K! Have fun and be careful! Hope we have happy things to talk about later!
128. peejz, good to see ya. Wanna have a beer?
Having the ability to pass a drug test helps a person get a job. We have more jobs than hirable people in my area!
130. Where are you, peejz, because I’m one of those squeezed out be the current economic policies of this administration? Thanks.
Ellis…that’s so sad….boo hoo
Michigan.
Try placement people and even Temp agencies. Stay with the better agencies, but many employers are hiring through these agencies. They screen the employee for 90-120 days probation and if all goes well, they are hired. This is from the bottom pay scale all the way to executive positions.
k – you might be right about polls closing at 8, but on azfamily.com, Terry Goddard (in his list of recommendations) mentioned 7 PM and all the time I’ve been here, I don’t recall the polls being open past 7 (except for those already in line).
I went in at 11:20 this morning, was out by 11:35. Course, my location is the one with the bomb threat (school kids from where the votes were taking place) so it was moved two doors down to a church. Only had 5 or 6 different TV crew vans there at the time.
peejz, thanks.
No problem. Good luck.
Ellie- now do you see why the popular vote matters some? If this had been really close in some states (I’m ignoring Ohio for the moment), leading Democrats PROBABALY wouldn’t go after the win b/c the pop vote is 3-4 million for Bush, not like in 2000.
I am scattered after sleeping 4 hrs, forgive me.
oops, ellis, not ellie!
