I spent a bit of time on Atrios and dkos reading the poor souls lamenting the loss of friend and family. Theirs is a party lost right now. We didn’t even have a contest.
If the extremist liberal continue to control the democratic party, we’ll not have a contest for years, until a new party springs from the old like a phoenix from the ashes. What the hell happened to these guys?
Anyway, we must get back to work. The middle east is calling us.

I must admit that I am glad that the Presidential race is over for this time. I want to quote Robert Tracinski and Mark Wickens in order to give my readers an inkling on how I feel about George W. Bush’ victory over John F. Kerry.

Guam has also just completed its legislative election with the Republicans garnering 9 out of 15 senatorial seats! ALthough we can’t vote for President of the U.S. on Guam, as a token gesture, the presidential election is also added to the local ballot. I’m proud to says that the Bush-Cheney ticket won with over 21 thousand votes to Kerry-Edward’s 11-thousand. So from thousands of miles away…Congratulations to President George Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney!

Joe- there is a lot of truth to your statement. Terry McCauliff and the powers that be have let the Democratic party down in the last 3 elections.
They need to start listening to the voter base off the 2 coasts. There really is no room for a Joe Liberman in that party anymore. Anyone that disagrees with them is out. They need to take a good look at where they are and where they want to take the party and regroup now. Hillary may be intelligent, but she reminds me of Nixon. She is polarizing and may not be the best choice. There is a lot of talent in the party, and it needs to be listened to.

As a side note, I thought that John Kerry was a gracious loser and I have respect for his decision to do the right thing. He could have dragged it out, but he put us before his party. I give him credit.

How come the press didn’t call Ohio for President Bush when it was clear that he had a lead of 135,000 votes, but they did call Wisconsin for Senator Kerry when his lead was only about 12,000 votes? Are there no provisional ballots in Wisconsin? Is the voting process in Ohio different somehow?

My brother said he helped about 12 people. Some people were not registered at all and couldn’t vote. Some people were at the wrong polling location so he told them where to go. Some people said they were registered, but were not on the list, so he helped them cast provisional ballots. He also held the leases of 3 dogs so the owners could go inside.
No shenanigans.
