Rev Al Cites Ashcroft As Proof He Is Innocent
Al Sharpton says he did nothing wrong when he took questionable campaign checks two years ago ” and the lack of an investigation by then-Attorney General John Ashcroft, who is no fan of his, is proof of his innocence.
Ashcroft “was the attorney general who had me put in jail for nonviolent protests in Vieques,” Sharpton told NY1, according to transcripts of an interview. “If he had tapes that were incriminating me two years ago, I’m sure we’d all know by now.”
The FBI videotaped Sharpton accepting checks for his 2004 presidential campaign from Philadelphia powerbroker Donald White on May 9, 2003.
It’s not known how much Sharpton received, but he’s heard on tape demanding $25,000 more.
How is that proof he is innocent? I tell ya this guy just cracks me up sometimes.
I am questioning how it rules it out too Reilly:?:
It doesn’t – - It’s kind of like Kofi Annan running around telling everyone he was cleared when he wasn’t. I mean sheesh even Paul is saying Kofi hasn’t been cleared. Maybe Al and Kofi are one in the same – - at least it would seem so when it comes to clearing themselves
Looks like AL SHARPTON is acting like the wolf who has eaten the lamb then plays inocent and says what lamb? why it just ran away:roll:
