Gore’s Alternate Universe
“How many of you, I wonder, have heard a friend or a family member in the last few years remark that it’s almost as if America has entered ‘an alternate universe’?” asked Al Gore in a speech the other day to a conference called We the Media.
James Taranto, from WSJonline.com, likens Gore to Spock, in search of a more civilized universe. Bizzaro world, anyone?
There are many points in Al Gore’s speech that I could pick apart – but this one was my favorite:
“As recently stated by Dan Rather–who was, of course, forced out of his anchor job after angering the White House–television news has been “dumbed down and tarted up.”
To me, this very quote encapsulates the biggest problem within the Democratic party today. The absolute refusal to view the truth for what it is – the truth. Instead, he chooses to ignore personal responsibility and pass the buck of blame – transferring it to those he hates the most, the Republicans in the White House.
Dan Rather wasn’t forced out of his anchor job because he upset the White House. Rather retired as top anchor and managing editor of Viacom’s CBS Evening News after 24 years of service – following a disastrous career move whereby he attempted to pass forged documents off as authentic, questioning President Bush’s National Guard service record during the Vietnam War.
It was unfortunate for Rather that his reporting had become so ‘dumbed down and tarted up’.. so much so that he couldn’t even pass his sources and ‘proof’ as authentic and real before it went public. Rather didn’t lose his job because he pissed off George W. Bush, as Al Gore would have you believe. He retired in an embarrassing fireball of his own doing.
Al Gore would like us to believe that it was George W. Bush’s fault.
Alternate universe, indeed.
Surprisingly, I find myself quoting James Carville here, and agreeing with him 100%:

On the one world lies; false paradigm of the left rats and the right rats framed debates and parameter setting mental archetypes is part of the evil little cover ups and we now have mass surveillances of each person and name the lies of both sides, it is for evil non reason that this is done, so whats new in the land of freedom:?:

we have massively great stories happening right now let’s have someone write about the nut case who blow himself up last week, why he did it who put him up to it and will we see more of this kind of thing, by the way we do not live in a land of freedom we live in a insane world, gore is just nut, we have millions of people in our usless government that think and act like boy gore.
