DNC Chair Dean says ‘culture of corruption’ exists in Republican party
Chris Matthews had Howard Dean On Hardball this past week and here are some of the highlights:
MATTHEWS: Do you believe that the president can claim executive privilege?
DEAN: Well, certainly the president can claim executive privilege. But in the this case, I think with a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, you can’t play, you know, hide the salami, or whatever it’s called. He’s got to go out there and say something about this woman who’s going to a 20 or 30-year appointment, a 20 or 30-year appointment to influence America. We deserve to know something about her.
Brillance
MATTHEWS: Are you being consistent? During the campaign, there was an issue of you releasing records from Montpelier. And you were fighting that case, you were saying, “I don’t want to release these records. They divulge a lot of personal matters. I’m not going to do it.” Now you’re saying the president should release these papers.
DEAN: Well, actually, I did release about 2/3 of our records. The stuff that I didn’t release was stuff ” was not about people who were up for appointment to the United States Supreme Court, I can assure you of that.
No, you just wanted to be POTUS, we can clearly see the difference.
MATTHEWS: Do you believe the Democratic Party consists on that position, despite the comments by Hillary Clinton about the need for dialogue and all that. Do you think.. sound on this.
DEAN: I think we ought to have the smallest number of abortions as possible. You know, abortions have gone up since George Bush has been president. I think we ought to reduce abortions to the smallest number possible. But I don’t think you do it by taking away the right of women to make up their own minds about the way their lives are going to be shaped.
Wow, according to Planned Parenthood, the number is down. But I’ll take your word for it. And while I am at it, I’ll blame GWB for the increase in abortions.
The interview is a good indication of what the Democratic Party put up as their mouth piece!

:smile:The so called Culture of corruption exists in all parties and in all people.
its a joke, as our non government on both sides have been dealing with guys like Fox of the corrupt government of Mexico, we have become a nothing idea, without ideals and will pay for our betrayal of our ideals of the guys and girls who made us great and i am not writing about world war two vet, but about the people of 300 years ago, long before 1776, can you see what it is and why we had to do what was right and justice for all the people and why the gods of old had to deal with the evil little barbarians, it is not corrupt to make a place where kids can sleep at night time in peace and a woman can walk her children home in peace, long live the ideals of my fathers against the ideals of the insane barbarians of old and the new day time and its coming fight against evil insane ideals.
I ask you “Our”, we so deferent from the times of 1635 to 1898:?:
do not follow evil do not follow the neocons of madness do not listen to fools for evil.

Dr. Dean needs a rubber room and a shrink. The Democrat party is so corrupt they don’t know the truth in any instance. I Columbia doesn’t export enough crack to make all the Democrats this delusional.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves for being so willing to excuse and ignore corruption. Your standards are way too low. You should demand honest representation. Instead, you excuse thieves with “they all do it” and so forth. They do not all do it. I can name genuinely honest politicians to whom no whiff of corruption has ever been attached nor can it honestly be attached.
Clean your house, people, don’t just claim everyone has a dirty house so it’s okay to live in squalor.

G.D Frog, you must be talking about the Klinton Administration, which we were told upon his inauguration was going to be the “most ethical in history”. Yes that is what the American people were told, what they were promised.
Well, what’s your report card? After all, this is the party that purports to represent and fight for “the little guy”. Actually, they closed ranks and fought hard for Willie’s “little guy” alright. Maybe that’s what they were really talking about all along…
