4-. One player actually stated that their target audience was the hip hop urban market. - That begs the question I have been dying to ask. How many of these players have endorsement contracts that could be affected by this ruling?

The players just don’t seem to understand that they’re supposed to be role models for something other than the local street gang. We had to wear appropriate clothes to away games when I played basketball back in high school almost 30 years ago. If they want to be stupid about this, the league could simply require off court uniforms of slacks, polo or oxford shirts and team blazers with suitable black dress shoes. Some universities require team blazers, dress shirts, slacks and ties for road games. These guys should be used to having to dress appropriately. One player actually stated that their target audience was the hip hop urban market. He needs to take a look at ticket prices and realize that his multimillion a year salary doesn’t come from a bunch of rappers in the clubs but rather from the businessmen with the money to afford those $1500 per game courtside tickets or those corporate skyboxes. If those guys want to see a bunch of hip hop rappers act like thugs, they’ll order the hip hop music awards on pay per view.
