Prince Charles

He’s Coming To America With A Message

The Prince of Wales will try to persuade George W Bush and Americans of the merits of Islam this week because he thinks the United States has been too intolerant of the religion since September 11.

The Prince, who leaves on Tuesday for an eight-day tour of the US, has voiced private concerns over America’s “confrontational” approach to Muslim countries and its failure to appreciate Islam’s strengths.

The Prince raised his concerns when he met senior Muslims in London in November 2001. “I find the language and rhetoric coming from America too confrontational,” the Prince said, according to one leader at the meeting.

It is understood that Prince Charles did not – and does not – believe that the actions of 19 hijackers should tarnish the reputation of hundreds of millions of law-abiding Muslims around the world.

Khalid Mahmood, the Labour MP for Birmingham Perry Bar, was also at the meeting at St James’s Palace. “His criticism of America was a general one of the Americans not having the appreciation we have for Islam and its culture,” he said.

The Prince also spoke of his sympathy for America after the terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of almost 3,000 people. He said he wanted to promote better relations between the different religions of the world.

Most Americans get it – - we understand that not all Arabs are muslim and not all muslims are terrorists – - as for having a deep appreciation for Islam – - that would be like having a deep appreciation for all religions and who really has time to do that? I can “appreciate” that people practice other religions and I can “respect” their choice to do so – - but for Charles to come here at the end of 2005 based on meetings in 2001 and to try to tell us that we are “confrontational” – - well he needs to “appreciate” that we were and are defending ourselves while fighting terrorism as well as trying (and even succeeding) to liberate oppressed nations- – And if that doesn’t explain why we are “confrontational” then perhaps his royal appeasing ass has forgotten what happened when we wanted our independence.

  1. You make a great point, in fact my jaw was dropped when I finsihed reading your recap!:grin:
as for having a deep appreciation for Islam If I might add, should they not have the same appreciation for those of different faith? I don’t think that all Muslims are bad, but I can’t help but notice the lack of the voice of the Arab American denouncing the extremists. I mean that, be it the MSM or the blogoshere!

  2. So why is bonny prince charlie trying to push the pagan relgion of ISLAM what with his royal puntz anyway?
