French urban violence worsens

Arsonists torched 1,300 cars and police arrested 300 people across France as the urban violence which has rocked the country for 10 nights reached a new peak.

Police deployed helicopters and stepped up their arrests of youths responsible for the street violence, as troubles flared for the 10th consecutive night in suburbs around Paris on Saturday and spread to other French cities.

Copycat arson attacks hit the outskirts of Toulouse, Bordeaux, Montpellier and Pau in the south, Rennes and Nantes in the west, Lille in the north and Mulhouse and Colmar in the east.

The disorder also spilled into central Paris itself, where a petrol bomb set alight four cars near a major square, Place de la Republique, while half a dozen vehicles went up in smoke in the northwest 17th arrondissement, or district.

Despite calls for calm Saturday, 1,295 cars were torched overnight compared with 897 the previous night, while arrests totalled 312 up from 253.

Some 2,300 more police than normal were on the streets while additional firefighters were sent to the Paris region.

C’mon Jacques – - you need to get it together. All the reports I’ve been reading about this keep stating the same thing – - Chirac is coordinating with this person, that person and the other to solve this – - yet it has been 10 days.

    1. Peejz, Chirac is not able to get the surrender flags from their canisters. The French are getting exactly what they’ve sown.

 It will happen here, i hope the people take up arms and fight but against the Muslims.

the problem is mass immigration and much of it illegal, the fact is it has been ignored for the most part for 30 years.
what the Islamic pigs want is all of Europe to become Muslim and help to kill us, with some help from the Pancho Villa guys from Mexico. it will work some day! AND MUCH OF THIS IS ORCHESTRATED FROM CHINA.

Hey Fred Dawes, there is a movie out there I think you would like. It’s called “Conspiracy Theory”. You should watch it.

By the way, do you drive a Taxi?

It was only a matter of time before this went down… has the French “army” surrendered yet?

The French should just buy burqas and prayer rugs. They’ll have to close down the can-can and all the vineyards since Allah doesn’t allow the women to display themselves or the imbibing of alcohol.

PCD… you got that right…but hey, at least a select few of the “rich” got even richer with some oil-for-food lootings!

Where are the libs???? Please tell us, my fellow “america loving liberals” how muslim animals, burning down Paris, is the fault of George W. Bush and the “neocons”….did Halliburton do it?

Please, I long to understand the motivations of these poor, “dissafected youth.”

    Mike,

You won’t be seeing ellis, shiloh, dg or tofu admit anything. They are liberals and therefore not honest enough to admit when they are wrong.

Don’t misunderestimate them…they have an uncanny knack for excusing the behavior of marauding muslims….

Today on the “news” I heard them describing the rioters as “youths”. Not a word about them being Muslims, Arabs, North Africans, nope, just “youths”.

I guess “youths” are really bad, dangerous people now. When a “youth” approaches, look out!

    yeah, “youths” are always scary.

I guess I’ll be waiting about as long for them to be (accurately) described as muslim rioters as I will for gay priests to be called….gay.
