The Only News They Saw Fit To Print; a lie

As I posted in this link, things got very heated on the floor of Congress last night. But Sister Toldja has this post that best describes how a speech on the floor will be misused by the Democrats because of the help they have received from The New York Times.

Republicans and Democrats shouted, howled and slung insults on the House floor on Friday as a debate over whether to withdraw American troops from Iraq descended into a fury over President Bush’s handling of the war and a leading Democrat’s call to bring the troops home.

The battle boiled over when Representative Jean Schmidt, an Ohio Republican who is the most junior member of the House, told of a phone call she had just received from a Marine colonel back home.

“He asked me to send Congress a message: stay the course,” Ms. Schmidt said. “He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message: that cowards cut and run, Marines never do.”

Democrats booed in protest and shouted Ms. Schmidt down in her attack on Representative John P. Murtha of Pennsylvania, a Vietnam combat veteran and one of the House’s most respected members on military matters. They caused the House to come to an abrupt standstill, and moments later, Representative Harold Ford, Democrat of Tennessee, charged across the chamber’s center aisle to the Republican side screaming that Ms. Schmidt’s attack had been unwarranted.

Here is the video link via The Political Teen of what Jean Schmidt said. You decide if you think she was attacking Rep. Murtha, or if she was in fact just relaying a message from a soldier.

By the way ; The House voted 403-3 to reject a nonbinding resolution calling for an immediate troop withdrawal.

What do you expect from a media that supports Mary Mapes in her contention that CBS wasn’t responsible for proving the documents were genuine, the detractors were responsible to prove them fake? How utterly ludicrous. How about someone puts together a lengthy portfolio of idiotic documents about her brain being abducted and replaced by an alien. Under her logic, she’d have to prove it hadn’t. That might be a REALLY tough case to prove. Whiel they’re at it, might I suggest they do a thorough exam to remove her anal probe? I think it’s pressing on her brain.

It is funny that those lying Republicans didn’t even bring Murthas bill to a vote. Instead they came up with their own political bull shit bill about immediately withdraw from Iraq, which Murtha is NOT calling for.

How many times are you guys going to keep falling for this shit?

No he presented an open bill that is vague to the point that it allows any liberal to read into it what they wanted to and for any Democrat to play to that audience by making vague accusations to lay non specific blame at the feet of the Republicans, regardless of how things turn out.

Murtha is a cut and run Liberal who sold out his fellow Marines just like John Glenn did to get one more ride into space out of Clinton.
