Let’s think of anybody but the USA

I was reading this article referring to Sheehan and the protest in Crawford, when I was taken aback at this point in the story;

For the holiday Thursday, more than 100 war protesters ate a traditional Iraqi meal – salmon, lentils and rice with almonds – saying they wanted to call attention to the civilians killed in the war. More than 2,100 U.S. soldiers have also died since the war began in March 2003.

  3. As long as their being so political why dont they have meal of bug infested rice in muddy water to show sympathy for all the victims of communist vietnam:roll:

  4. Hell if they support the troops so damn much, why don’t they try living for a few weeks on two MREs and a meal of boiled chicken thigh quarters, canned corn, stale bread every day. That’s the standard field ration cycle for soldiers going through training at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, CA. Of course we didn’t have to have boiled chicken thigh quarters everyday for two weeks. It was just all our lazy cooks were willing to fix. Other units had hamburgers, fried chicken, and other stuff. Our cooks were just too damn lazy to cook anything else.

    Why do you think the military contracted out to Halliburton to provide mess hall facilities in Iraq? All of the soldiers there have live rounds. If we had had live rounds at NTC, I bet our cooks would’ve been a bit more energetic about what they fixed.The infantry, armor and cavalry cooks laid out some great food both in and out of the field.
