Israeli Jets Hit Militant Base in Lebanon

Israeli jets blasted a Palestinian militant group’s base a few miles outside the Lebanese capital Beirut on Wednesday, hours after rockets fired from Lebanon hit a northern Israeli border town.

In their deepest strike into Lebanon in 18 months, the Israeli planes attacked a base of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, a small, Syrian-backed group that has been fighting the Jewish state for decades. Two guerrillas were lightly wounded, the group said.

Later Wednesday, Israeli warplanes flew low over southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa Valley in apparent reconnaissance flights that drew anti-aircraft fire from the Lebanese army, Lebanese security officials said.

Witnesses said warplanes roared over the PFLP-GC guerrilla base at Naameh, a hilltop base overlooking the Mediterranean five miles south of Beirut. They heard two booms.

The Israeli army said the attack was in response to rockets fired at the northern Israel town of Kiryat Shmona on Tuesday night. It said it views such attacks with “extreme severity” and holds Lebanon responsible.

The PFLP-GC commander in Lebanon, Anwar Raja, denied the group was responsible.

This goes to show that once again Israel is not going to sit by and let their people be attacked, they are going to take action and that is just what they did.

  1. Wow, I just read this (Hadn’t noticed it before). This what you described is EXACTLY what Bill Clinton to al-Qaeda. I’m presuming you rewarded his just retaliation?

  2. Was that the powdered milk factory?,,,, that was when the cum stained dress came out…. The only thing good about Clinton, was the media was quiet about anything dealing with the prez…. Then, there was the Waco/Ruby Ridge murders…. government sanctioned… HEY! Where were the libs and the ACLU during those atrocities? I guess they were busy defending pedophiles.

  3. Well I think I’d put Gerry Spence against the entire ACLU any day. Spence represented Randy Weaver and got him acquitted of all charges. Of course the fact that an FBI agent entrapped Randy Weaver in an attempt to infiltrate a white supremacist group didn’t hurt. Of course the US Marshals lost a deputy Marshall in the standoff, while a US Marshall killed Randy Weaver’s 14 yr old son, and FBI “Sniper” Lon Horiuchi killed Vicki Weaver while she was holding her infant daughter. I say sniper in quotes because every good rifle man is taught to NOT shoot until you know for certain what you’re going to hit. Horiuchi fired through a door at an outline knowing that there were children in the house and that only one person in the house had even fired on law enforcement and that was after being fired on. Randy Weaver had NOT fired on law enforcement. While the state of Idaho did attempt to bring charges against Horiuchi, the Clinton justice department crushed the indictment on the grounds that Horiuchi was acting in his position as an agent of the FBI. While the government has refused to admit any wrongdoing in the case, they did settle for(I believe) $3 million with Randy Weaver for the wrongful death of his wife and son.

As for Waco, that was an idiotic debacle. If the purpose of the raid was to secure the person of David Koresh, why not just grab him off the street while he’s out on his morning jog? Want to serve a search warrant? Why not just drive up to the door with the local sheriff who knew David Koresh personally and have him knock on the door? 4 ATF agents were killed due to the lack of using a little common sense on the part of their supervisors. Is there anyone who’s going to allow masked people to come running up to the house shooting the family dogs and NOT shoot back? The first casualties in both of these cases were the family dogs per FBI/ATF/DEA sop.

Isn’t it funny that the MSM never saw any of this as being an invasion of privacy?
