Iran to Face UN

Iran: Referral Means End of Diplomacy

Iran struck back Tuesday at the Big Five’s decision to refer the country’s nuclear file to the Security Council, saying the move has no legal justification and would be the end of diplomacy.

At a London meeting that lasted into the early hours of Tuesday, envoys of the United States, Britain, China, France and Russia agreed to recommend that the International Atomic Energy Agency report Iran to the U.N. Security Council.

They also decided the Security Council should wait until March to take up Iran’s nuclear file after a formal report on Tehran’s activities from the U.N. agency, which meets Thursday in Vienna.

“Reporting Iran’s dossier to the U.N. Security Council will be unconstructive and the end of diplomacy,” said Iran’s leading nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani. State television quoted him as sayiny Iran still believes the issue can be resolved peacefully.

“The biggest problem for the West is that they can’t find any (legal) justification to refer Iran to the U.N. Security Council,” ISNA quoted him as saying.

They say this decision is “the end of diplomacy” – - then they say it can be “resolved peacefully”. What they really mean is that if no one comes in to check then diplomacy remains and all is peaceful.

I also think it’s interesting that they are already starting the “West has no legal justification” chant – - Perhaps they are trying to get the dictator lovers of the world on their side to fight for their nuclear weapon rights.

  1. Once more “if you don’t fight this war just like world war two”, you can say goodbye to all your freedoms. this is a war of ideals and like all wars in all times its a war of people vs. people and if you don’t see that fact you will become a slave of other’s who care nothing about ideals like human and civil rights. in other words fight or die, sad world but a real world of total evil, was A.H. Right?

by the way my sisters kid is fighting for your lives just like both his grandfathers did in world war two. is the truth really out there:?:

  2. How long has this post been up and no comments:?: shows me that people really don’t get it yet, but soon people will understand, sad world:sad:

  3. Fred, maybe for everyone but you, life beckons and there are matters needing to be addressed than just this site.

  4. So Iran is going to have to face the UN? How many resolutions will it take this time for nothing to happen.

  5. It won’t take a lot of resolutions this time. I think a major “Accident” at one of their nuclear sites would be adequate to change the minds of the leadership, especially if a few of them and/or their families were downwind of one of the accidents. Accidents happen don’t ya know when you’re messing with things you shouldn’t be messing with.
