I will be honest, I didn’t think WaPo had it in them to add a conservative blog to their online service, but today is the debut of Red America, co-founded by Ben Domenech.
From start to finish of the first post; Pachyderms in the Mist: Red America and the MSM, Ben captures your attention with the first line being:
This is a blog for the majority of Americans
and ending the piece with this:
Red America’s citizens are the political majority. They’re here to stay. It’s time to start paying attention to what they believe and why.
Take the time to read it.
What an utterly vapid blog. Not a single line there that isn’t a tired old cliche; not an observation about the left that is true (Howard Dean is not left-wing; the founders of MyDD and Daily Kos are not advocating that the Democrats become left-wing; anti-Bush sentiment comes not from “unhinged” lefties but from pissed-off moderates and professionals; Republicans do not have the issue advantage on abortion, as Mike Rounds proved when his popularity plummeted after signing an abortion ban; etc.). It represents all that is detached from reality and intellectually incurious about the contemporary right.
The Washington Post, which supported the Iraq War and the confirmation of Justice Alito among other things, would do better to add a genuinely liberal blogger (Dan Froomkin is anti-Bush but not an ideological liberal, and most of the other WP bloggers have barely-concealed contempt for liberals), or a “paleocon” blogger like Steve Sailer, or at least someone who won’t tell us the same old foolishness we read on opinionjournal.com every day.
Finally, if they’re going to write a blog “for the majority of Americans,” how about a blog for the majority of Americans who think Iraq is heading for civil war and that Bush is doing a bad job as President? Anti-Bush sentiment is alive and well even in “Red America,” thank God.
M.A.
do you need a tissue? I haven’t heard this much crying in a long time!!! Why does it bother you so much that America is a conservative country? Judging by the polls (the only ones that matter) taken on the first tuesday in November every 2 years…. this is a RED country!!!!
Anit-Bush sentiment and Anti-American sentiment is rampant on dailykos, and on CBS, NBC, CNN and ABC news
but you know what? Fewer and fewer americans are listening…. no longer would a friggin’ anchorman be voted the “most trusted man in america”
Your stranglehold over the media is breaking… we control the white house, senate, house, supreme court, most state legislatures and governorships..
you have…..Helen Thomas and academia
and thanks to couragous people like David Horowitz, your stranglehold on academia will be ending also.
VIVA RED AMERICA!!
God bless President Bush, our men and women in uniform (which I am sure, R.A. you never have been) and the United States of America.
Your stranglehold over the media is breaking:
The media was never liberal — the MSM supported the war in Iraq, Alito, etc.
we control the white house, senate, house, supreme court, most state legislatures and governorships..
And what have you done with this power? Nothing useful. Because the right cares only about power, whereas liberals actually care about things like national security (Bush, having invaded Iraq even though he didn’t need to, is weak on national security, whereas Howard Dean, who correctly pointed out that the war would hurt America and Iraq,k 9is strong on national security). Why should I care that conservatives have 51% of the vote (in 2002 and 4, anyway; in 2000 liberals had that 51% edge)? There’s no evidence that the majority of Americans agree with your ideas, whereas when liberals had this kind of power, we actually managed to do useful things. (Roosevelt was able to create the New Deal, whereas Bush couldn’t even roll back Social Security. Because liberal ideas have won.)
And, of course, academia isn’t particularly left-wing either; that’s a fantasy made up by David Horowitz and other barbarians based on a few obscure professors. I was at two major universities and all my professors, whatever their politics, were respectful of opposing ideas and willing to discuss issues. The only intolerant, indoctrinating professors I encountered were the conservative professors. Because conservatrives have no ideas, only propaganda.
denial, denial, denial….hahaha.. you are really on the Kool Aid, my friend!!!
The media was never liberal
do I even have to address this??? A pew research poll of Washington based correspondents in 1996 showed that 92% of them voted for William Blowjob while only 43% of 43% of registered voters cast a ballot for that rapist, joke of a president…. would you call that Bias??????
Roosevelt was able to create the New Deal
Yes, and create the dependency class that has sapped our national productivity and can-do spirit…thanks alot FDR (second worst president of the 20th century, only to Billy Blowjob)
Academia won’t be left wing for long…tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.
My advice, M.A. pick up a weapon and stand a post, or shut up and move to france……cuz Red America isn’t going anywhere!!!!!
Mike- the new thing for the moonbats is to claim that the media is not biased to the left. Never mind CBS,NBC,ABC,CNBC,MSNBC,CNN AND NPR are all biased to the left..add to that The NYT,WaPo, USA Today, and LA Times. And take a look at what MA looks up to…entitlement! That is the past presant and the future of the left..throw in an abortion and you have yourself a democratic party!
M.A.—why don’t you start your own blog? But you’d be hard pressed to come up with an angle that hasn’t already been well covered by Liberal Democrite whackos A-Z.
Listen to yourselves. (!)
It’s Conservatives, not Liberals, who are the biggest cry-babies around these days. WAAAA!!! Liberal media! WAAAA!!! Blow Job Billy!!! WAAAA!! Michael Moore made fun of me!!
LOL…if you guys weren’t so pathetic you’d be a real laugh.
No one responded with intelligence when M.A. asked what the republicans have done with 6 years of absolute power in D.C. Big surprise there.
Seriously! What have they done for the average American with all that power? Other than tax breaks to the wealthy…? Has Social Security been saved? Has health care costs for the average American decreased? Is abortion illegal yet? Have the numbers of violent movies and music been reduced? Is the economic gap between rich and poor being cut? Is college cheaper and more attainable for our young people?
LOL…oh, from such mighty heights the republicans have fallen from. They held such promise 6 years ago, but have done nothing since then but waste time and money.
How sad for your team.
Looks like Democrats are set to make big gains this November in “the only poll that matters”…hahaha….
Good Luck, San Fran Sam!!! In case you haven’t noticed, we haven’t lost in november in quite some time.
and here is what the republicans have done in 6 years.
Liberated 25 million people in Afghanistan
Liberated 25 million people in Iraq
(oh, by the way, that’s 25 million women, for you femist types out there)
Provided economic stimulation resulting in record Dow index, record new homes sales, record low unemployment, sustained quarters of robust economic growth.
Prevented any further attacks on US soil
Killed THOUSANDS of muslim animals.
Produced a no-nonsense supreme court that will FINALLY interpret the constitution and not legislate from the bench.
Yep, I’d say it’s been a pretty good 6 years!!!
wooo hooo!!!
What have the poor done to close the gap between themselves and the rich?
I am paying $15.00/year more today than I was in 2000 for my healthcare. My co-pay on drug benefits went down and my $10.00 co-pay for office visits has remained the same.
And the last time I checked, colleges set the tuition rates not the federal government!
The (weight) gap between rich and poor sure seems to be getting bigger… I’m down to 195 and the fat ass welfare whore in front of me at the Save A Lot looks like she’s up to about three fitty with her ho-hos, ring dings and strawberry soda.
Only in america would some moron like San Fran Sam call these fatasses “poor”
A tax break for the wealthy? Hmm yes I guess you could say that. But then again the truly poor don’t pay any damn taxes anyway so how the hell are you going to give them a tax break? Besides if the tax breaks were so damn bad, why are revenues at all time highs? There have been 3 major tax reductions in the past 50 years and every single one of them have boosted the economy. Any liberals want to guess who proposed and got enacted (I know that’s a trick question because you don’t know enough about the US government to know that the President PROPOSES legislation and CONGRESS then decides whether to pass it or not.) the first of those three tax cuts? John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Yes, Ted’s big brother. What ever happened to the Dems who agreed with JFK when he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”? Now I’m going to give you a little lesson on the way income taxes work.
Income taxes tax income. They do not tax wealth which is the accumulation of excess income. Excess income is that income that remains after your living expenses are met. People who EARN substantially more than their living expenses and save the excess become wealthy. Welfare programs have never made anyone except a welfare cheat wealthy. When people have excess income they have a choice. They can spend it, they can park it somewhere and pay no additional taxes on it, or they can invest it. What they choose is normally a function of how much they have excess. People with small amounts of excess income tend to spend it, while this does stimulate the economy, it doesn’t really produce a lot of jobs. People with a lot of excess income have to make a choice of whether to invest or park their money. That choice is frequently based on how much taxes they are going to have to pay on the return on their investment. If the return is high enough to offset the tax liability, the investment is good, otherwise the bank of the Grand Caymans has some wonderful beaches near by. When they invest their excess income, it allows companies to buy new equipment, expand facilities and produce new jobs. Those workers then begin paying taxes. THAT is why saving Bill Gates $1,000,000 on his taxes returns over $1,500,000 to the treasury. Because Bill then takes that $1m and adds more capacity to a factory and hires another 500 employees who then pay in $1.5m in taxes. Without the $1m in tax savings, Bill doesn’t expand his factory and hire the 1000 employees because it isn’t economical for him to do so. With the increased output of the additional 500 employees, Bill earns even more money and now has to pay even more tax than before anyway. Bill then has to decide if he wants to do it all over again. Does anyone believe that saving 1,000,000 people $10 each would have the same effect on the economy? That would be cutting taxes by $10,000,000 but it wouldn’t accomplish more than a minimal effect and nothing long term.
As for social security, President Bush tried to save it with the same plan that FDR proposed 70 years ago, but the Democrats in Congress put all of their efforts into blocking it in the name of saving FDR’s legacy. To hell with the future generations who are at the bottom of the Pyramid scheme that is the current Social Security system.
Oh, hey!! All those in denial of the liberal media…..take a gander..
ABC NEWS EXEC: ‘BUSH MAKES ME SICK’; E-MAIL REVEALED
**Exclusive**
A top producer at ABC NEWS declared “Bush makes me sick” in an email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.
John Green, currently executive producer of the weekend edition of GOOD MORNING AMERICA, unloaded on the president in an ABC company email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.
“If he uses the ‘mixed messages’ line one more time, I’m going to puke,” Green complained.
The blunt comments by Green, along with other emails obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, further reveal the inner workings of the nation’s news outlets.
A friend of Green’s at ABC says Green is mortified by the email. “John feels so badly about this email. He is a straight shooter and great producer who is always fair. That said, he deeply regrets the sentiment expressed in the email and the embarrassment it causes ABC News.”
LOL…this is great.
“Conservative blogger recently hired by Washington Post appears to be serial plagiarist.”
YET ANOTHER conservative shot down for being intellectually lazy. You people are frickin’ hilarious.
He must have been inspired by the great and wonderful Michael King.
Just the handle “San Francisco Liberal” speaks volumes.
LOL…a conservative? Inspired by MLK? I seriously doubt it. Even when said in jest.
Yeah, Robert, those are excellent powers of observation you have there.
Too bad the volume isn’t loud enough to shake some of you people out of your intellectual lethargy.
m.a. posted nothing worth responding to. Here’s some samples:
“…liberals actually care about things like national security…”
“…Howard Dean, … is strong on national security…”
“And, of course, academia isn’t particularly left-wing either; that’s a fantasy made up by David Horowitz and other barbarians based on a few obscure professors.”
“The only intolerant, indoctrinating professors I encountered were the conservative professors.” (You actually had one?)
m.a. is totally self-deluded.
“Too bad the volume isn’t loud enough to shake some of you people out of your intellectual lethargy.”
Another Liberal assuming that he is, of course, smarter than anyone he disagrees with.
Yeah, um, well, like us Liberals are all smarter than everyone else, because we’re Liberals. We have been brainw- uh, I mean, educated by the most rabid Liberal Professors at fine Liberal Universities all over.
Now you take post #17, for example, with those quotations. Those quoted statements are the finest examples I have seen of facts posted anywhere.
You know us Liberals are intellectually superior to any Cro Magnon or Neanderthal (which is what anyone who does not share our opinion is). And don’t dare call us Hupocrites because there is no such thing as Hypocrisy for a Liberal. WHATEVER a Liberal says or does is just fine, by definition, because:
1. The Liberal is smarter than you.
2. The Liberal is motivated by pure, altruistic intentions and goals. So any means to that end is acceptable.
3. Hillary Clinton, the smartest woman in America and the Matriarchal figure in our new Religion of Liberalism, says so. And if HilLiary says so, then it is.
Here’s a good example: Liberals care about the environment, and want to stop Global Warming. So they rightly want to raise taxes, and create new regulations to get you to stop driving your fossil-fueled cars. Of course, as they drive around in their Lexi and Beemers, they aren’t contributing to Gloabl Warming or any of those problems (Arianna Huffington flies around in private jets, but they were going there anyway!) Now if you don’t see why Liberals are exempt, there is something wrong with you!
Liberals don’t like guns, because they are tools by which real Americans exercise their 2nd Amendment rights, and provide for their own self-defense (and us Liberals know that they have the right to neither). So we get a two-fer by enacting onerous gun control legislation: We attack the gun nuts, and we define our political enemies as criminals by creating laws and regulations that make them criminals just by exercising their rights! See? See? Now there’s an example of why we are so much smarter than anyone else! Tee Hee!!! See? See??? See?????
Robert, here is where I am smarter than most conservatives:
…the Iraq War.
We on the left saw this disaster coming from a mile away.
Your side seems to have needed a little more time to figure it out. Look at public opinion. Nearly 70% of Americans do not approve of the way your man is “taking care” of things over there. 70% !!!
I have already received apologies from my EX-pro-war friends and family members who three years ago just didn’t have the vision and foresight to see how wrong and wasteful this war was. The list of EX-pro-war conservative thinkers and columnists gets bigger and bigger each day.
when are you guys going to “man up” and admit you were wrong and libs were right on this one?
Typical Idiot:
I don’t even own a car (who needs one in this grand city of mine?), but since there are a few liberals who DO drive or use maybe even use jets to get around, then that obviously means that all of liberalism is bad and we’re all hypocrites. I couldn’t agree with you more.
>snicker
SF Liberal- 70% of Americans don’t feel that way. 70% of your 900 people polled feel that way, and if I am not mistaken, the pollster asked more Democrats than Republican. Funny how that seems to be the trend in polling these days. I guess that way they get the figures they want!
As for the Iraq war, why would anyone apologise to you? And what are we to feel we were wrong about?
And gun control? Yeah, really….who needs it here? It’s not like the US has the highjest violent crime rate in the world or anything “crazy” like that…
“highest”
oops.
sue me.
You go, SF Liberal!!! You are so right! More gun control = less guns = less crime! EVERY place where they have allowed concealed carry has seen a rise in crime, yes, yes they have! You are so right! YOU are sooo smart!!!
I’m sooo excited that another Liberal has appeared here, SFG Liberal, and SF Liberal is just putting all of you Cro Magnons in your place!
You know, San Francisco is such a well-run place! It is! It is a virtual paradise! Now, it is true that there is trash, mucus and spit, plus occasional fecal material (human and animal) in the gutters and on the sidewalks all around Union Square, Market St., and the surrounding area. I know that in some places you can’t walk 20 feet without being accosted by a homeless person. Sometimes the pungent odor of stale urine emanating from the doorways of businesses does upset me as I am walking along the sidewalk.
But then i remind myself that it is all George Bush’s fault! Him and the neocons/theocons! And that just makes me more Liberal!
Oh, but one thing: San Francisco Liberal, please don’t refer to me just as “Typical Idiot”. My handle is “Typical Liberal idiot”. I am very proud to be a Liberal, first and foremost.
That’s right Typical Idiot!
San Francisco IS great! It’s just about as well run as the federal government under George Bush! How about that national debt reduction, huh? The Bush Admin sure did a heckava job “protecting” Americans after Katrina!! And the prosecution of the Iraq War? SPLENDID! Obviously, republicans were meant to lead the government. Especially the ones who hate it so much.
And to whomever doubted the 70% job disapproval of Bush on Iraq, you’re right. It’s all one big liberal media conspiracy top make republicans look bad.
>snicker
SF Liberal- Thank-you for admitting I am right about polls. And even a liberal like you is smart enough to use the emoticons that are free to all..it sure beats typing out the word snicker:roll:
Peejz -
great comeback, man!
Thank-you:smile:
San Francisco Liberal: Please! The name is “Typical Liberal Idiot” as I have stated. Surely you comprehend this. No? Are you perhaps not as intellectual as you have led us to believe? Am I actually the smartest Liberal posting here?
As I have stated many times before, Liberalism is a form of mental illness.
Look at the evidence in the posts by M.A. and SF Liberal in this thread:
1. Inability to focus on the subject/point at hand.
2. Use of opinions (usually already have been debunked) as though they were facts to support their position.
3. Irrational assumption that they are more intelligent than their opponents, when they do not even have the self-awareness to realize how warped they are.
My hypothesis is that the more Leftist the Liberal is, the more severe the case of mental illness. This explains the nice, everyday people we all know who are Liberlas and mean well, but just don’t get it. They function well in WSociety; theirs is the most mild case of Liberal mental illness and cure is possible.
Now I’d say M.A. and SF Lib are much more advanced. Easily stage 2 or 3. They are able to function, but with difficulty. Their illness causes them to lash out, usually with G.W. Bush as the target. Their illness is well within the danger area; probably incurable. Their best hope is medication; I’d prescribe Ritalin to at least calm them down and stop their irrational, Tourette’s-like outbursts of illogic.
Just shot a few and be happy in your work:eek:
Well, as a plagiarist, he was appently inspired by that phoney, womanizing communist, Michael King.
If being a race-pimping blowhard is enough to make one a national hero and have streets named after them, why not AL SHARPTON WAY????
Louis Farrakhan Libraray and Child Care Center!!
woo hoo!
Peejz #23: Yet another milestone in the dumbing down of American culture and the descent of the MSM into being a danger to freedom rather than a watchdog of it is the misuse of polling results.
They trumpet the results of push polls as “News” stories, continually. But there is absolutely no qualification whatsoever as to the poll itself. Who would ever accept the results of a scientific study or experiment without the details of the experiment or study, and exactly how it was conducted, carefully scrutinized?
The only time I was ever polled was during the Klinton Admin, just after Monicagate broke. Some pollster called me and I recall one of the first questions was “Do you think that the recent problems President Clinton has experienced have diminished your confidence in his ability to lead the Country?” My response was “No, because I didn’t have any confidence in his ability to lead the Country anyway.” The pollster paused for a moment, then said “So that’s a no?” to which I replied that that it is a bad question because they need more possible answers, like mine. The pollster listened, then said “Okay, so then your answer is no?” I hung up on the s.o.b.
That is a prime anecdotal example of how these polls operate. He probably put down “no” as my answer anyway, and for all the other people that felt the same way. Then they gleefully released the results, and some news reader/propagandist on the MSM glibly read that “According to a new poll 80% of Americans have confidence in the ability of President Clinton to lead the Nation!!!” when the reality is much, much different.
And the sheeple listened and bleated “Baaa, baaa, Klinton must be good, baaa!”.
These days MSM poll results are mostly good for toilet paper imo.
LOL…you guys are STILL talking about Clinton??
Talk about mental illness…the man has been out of office for more than five years now! It’s time to move on, folks. Seriously. Foaming at the mouth about ex-pres Clinton makes you guys look REALLY silly, and I’m only saying this as a friend. (!)
Now, regarding the “MSM”, I would put forth the notion that you people (sorry, most conservatives) would moan, groan, gnash your teeth and tear at your clothes at ANY news article, ANY news company and ANY news person who said or wrote something that differs from your ideological slant.
I think the only “evil” MSM is really in your delusional, whacked-out, little closed minded brains.
How else could someone claim, with a straight face, that the REAL culprit in the failure of the American “adventure” in Iraq would be the media, and or the liberals back home?
It has to be a mental illness, this NeoConservatism. The ability to look at reality and then claim something entirely different.
The only idiot here seems to be you San Fran..you are the one that brought Clinton into the conversation. No one blamed the media for what is going on in Iraq. Nice try at covering up what was really said…the media took their lumps for only focusing on the negative events in Iraq. There are positives and there are negatives. They should be highlighting both you idiot!
39. Peejz.. why waste your breath on someone who is actively rooting against America? It’s bad enough that we have to be at war against muslim animals, but we have these dunderheads to deal with as well.
And as far as Klinton and his military mastery go.. unless you were a fundamentalist christian, an employee of a sudanese aspirin factory or an 8 year-old cuban boy..you didn’t have much to fear from Captain blowjob.
Peejz…you’re joking, right?
I brought “K”Linton into the conversation? Nice. How about looking before you leap, numb-nuts. See post #37. And then apologize to me.
The media took lumps from who?? Certainly not your team. You guys are a threat to no one but yourselves. Look at how “well” republicans govern. 6 years of near absolute power and what have you done for the average American? Is health care cheaper? Is social security “saved”? Is abortion illegal? Have all the illegal immigrants been sent packing yet? Is our nation prepared in case of a national emergency (think Katrina)?? Is the gap between rich and poor getting any smaller?
What on earth have you guys done for the past 6 years???!!! Tax breaks and wars of choice, er, I mean, “liberation” don’t really count as helping the average American…
Oh, and Peejz – what positives in Iraq are you freaking out about?? The near 100+ bombing and shootings that happen daily? Do you REALLY think that the building of a school or water treatment plant deserves as much coverage as the deaths of dozens of human beings? If so, you need to get your priorities straight.
Mike Kilo: dude, you should shut the hell up about calling other people “anti-American” while at the same time you are dissing MLK. I don’t think you’ll win too many friends or supporters with sicko thoughts like that…just a little tip there for you, guy. (!)
I have more love-of-country in my PINKY, than you folks here seem to have in your collective beings.
See your post #7 and just so you understand, that is 30 post before #37..dumbass
It’s Conservatives, not Liberals, who are the biggest cry-babies around these days. WAAAA!!! Liberal media! WAAAA!!! Blow Job Billy!!! WAAAA!! Michael Moore made fun of me!!
Thank-you for proving Mike’s point!
One doesn’t need to kiss MLK’s ass to have friends…you might try learning what is is that he spoke about!
LOL…Peejz, look at #4…THAT’S where the B.J. Billy reference came from. One of your own people.
So CLEARLY you were wrong to accuse me of bringing Clinton here, so lets see how big of a man you are and apologize to me for speaking first when you should have LOOKED first…
I bet one dollar that you can’t do it. (!)
And what’s this about proving Mike right? How is the building of a school more newsworthy than the deaths of American soldiers? And you think I’M the sick one!?? Sounds like you people need to get your priorities straight if you think reporting about A NEW SCHOOL is more important than the death of a human being.
I love my country and it’s men and women in uniform. I lost my best friend in Iraq on April 29th of last year in a car bombing, and I have had two other friends serve over there and return home safe.
The only thing I DO NOT support is the civilian leadership of the military.
There is a difference, you would do well to learn it.
But, it really doesn’t matter what you learn or don’t learn, because the American people have seen your team for what it really is. W-E-A-K.
weak on corruption, weak on protection (Katrina), weak on defense ( you LOST a war against peasants for christ sakes), weak on domestic reform (what rising health care costs?) and weak on the ability to lead the nation (30% approval ratings)
Sounds like in another election or two, you guys will be the opposition party again. all because of how poorly you govern.
pretty sad if you think about it.
San Fran is just a wild-eyed brainwashed liberal that believes whatever is spoon fed to them..
do your research.. Michael King was a renowned philanderer, a communist at heart, and a blatent plagiarist..worship this fraud? Never!
Born in 1929, King was the son of a Black preacher known at the time only as “Daddy King.” “Daddy King” named his son Michael. In 1935, “Daddy King” had an inspiration to name himself after the Protestant reformer Martin Luther. He declared to his congregation that henceforth they were to refer to him as “Martin Luther King” and to his son as “Martin Luther King, Jr.” None of this name changing was ever legalized in court. “Daddy” King’s son’s real name is to this day Michael King.
The first public sermon that King ever gave, in 1947 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, was plagiarized from a homily by Protestant clergyman Harry Emerson Fosdick entitled “Life is What You Make It,” according to the testimony of King’s best friend of that time, Reverend Larry H. Williams.
On Labor Day, 1957, a special meeting was attended by Martin Luther King and four others at a strange institution called the Highlander Folk School in Monteagle, Tennessee. The Highlander Folk School was a Communist front, having been founded by Myles Horton (Communist Party organizer for Tennessee) and Don West (Communist Party organizer for North Carolina). The leaders of this meeting with King were the aforementioned Horton and West, along with Abner Berry and James Dumbrowski, all open and acknowledged members of the Communist Party, USA. The agenda of the meeting was a plan to tour the Southern states to initiate demonstrations and riots.
Well friends, he is not a legitimate reverend, he is not a bona fide PhD, and his name isn’t really “Martin Luther King, Jr.” What’s left? Just a sexual degenerate, an America-hating Communist, and a criminal betrayer of even the interests of his own people.
Any one here care to defend Mike Kilos opinion on Martin Luther King?
any takers?
OK, I’m really gonna get kicked in the nuts here, but I’ll come out and say it:
what’s wrong with being an American communist?
honestly.
Am I mistaken that here in America you are able to hold whatever religious or political beliefs that you want?
Sooooo….why the “persecution” of socialists?
And, does that mean that those who persecute others for their political beliefs are ANTI-AMERICAN? At least, more anti-American than the ones they are persecuting?
I dunno, I’m just thinking out loud here, but it seems to me that it is VERY unAmerican to come down on someone because of their political ideology.
I am, of course, not a communist, but as an American I support the right of others to hold whatever political beliefs they want.
46. I have no problem with people holding whatever religious or political views they choose.. HOWEVER, when they advocate the overthrow of our country or murdering of innocents (Communism, Islam)…that’s where I draw the line.
“what’s wrong with being an American communist?â€
Wow, where to start. I guess I would start with the 50+ million people who either died or were killed under communism. It’s been proven to be a failure so many times it’s a joke.
Better yet, how about if you name one country whose citizens have (or had) a better life under communism than Americans have under Democracy/Capitalism.
so you are telling me that MLK advocated the murder of innocents?
dude…
not cool.
