Gallup And CNN To Part Company

By: Pam On: Mar/24/06 - 2 Comments

Earlier this week, Drudge broke the story about The Gallup Polling Company and CNN ending their patnership.

WHY. 1) CNN has far fewer viewers than it did in the past and we feel that our brand was getting lost and diluted combined with the CNN brand. We have only about 200 thousand viewers during our CNN segments.

Mediabistro has a link up on the nightly cable ratings. As you can see Fox is clearly in the lead. When one reviews the total viewers for all..there is Fox and one would need to combine 2 or 3 competing networks to hit their numbers. That is why this reaction from CNN makes no sense.

Domestically, our viewership was grossly misstated in his comments. CNN’s average monthly reach in 2005 was 66.7 million, far and away the No. 1 source for cable news.

Too bad but it looks like the Communist News Network is losing viewers to FOX NEWS and TED TURNER is losing his mind without HANOI JANE with him:roll:

Actually I think Ted Turner is doing quite well without Jane Fonda.
