It Sucks To Be A Fired Illegal!

By: Pam On: Apr/12/06 - 7 Comments

This made me laugh!

“It was not fair,’” said Mercedes, a 31-year-old Detroit woman who attended the rally and was fired. “We went to fight for our rights.” Mercedes is undocumented and asked that her last name not be used.

“It was really unfair of a company to do that,” said Edith Castillo, head of the Detroit-based Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development.

Bwaaa ha ha ha ha!!! Went to the pro-illegal rally and got fired! The only thing better than that would be to have the INS bus waiting for her so after firing she would be shipped home!

I still say the INS missed a huge opportunity to round up a bunch of illegals at once in these demonstrations. Would have been a great chance to show how efficiently they can do their job!

As far as I’m concerned, there should have been INS buses stationed at these “rallies” and armed INS agents checking for credentials.. they say there are 12 million criminal invaders here? shit, we probably could have rounded up 1/4 of them at the rallies alone!

Couldn’t agree more with the above posts. It makes my stomach turn to think that these people think we are “violating” their supposed “rights”. I have no problem with legal immigration; come here legally and learn English. Unfourtaunly, some will label you a racist for feeling that way. I consider myself independent, but this is one of those issues where I’m definatly on the right. I’m so tired of hearing excuses and lies, such as “we are not criminals”. News Flash – If you aren’t here LEGALLY, you are here ILLEGALLY (or “undocumented” as the media likes to say), and if you do something ILLEGAL, that makes you a criminal. Oh, wait, I’m wasting my time, most of these illegals can’t read English. How moronic must you be to not realize you are a criminal? Or to think you have these “rights”? Seriously, this is sad. I feel like both parties, but especially the democrats, view these illegals as a potential voting block, and so I don’t think we’ll be getting much help from them. Also, the other excuse I hear is “well, they may be illegal, but they are hard workers”. Well, hell, I’m sure Jeffery Dahmer worked hard mutilating all those innocent people, but he’s still a criminal. And apparently they aren’t working very hard at learning English. Then there’s this whole thing about they will do work we won’t do, and for less money. If this is true, it’s only because coming from a dirt-poor nation like Mexico, and being used to getting paid such a low amount of money, they must be *delighted* to even make minimum wage over here. It’s not that we are lazy, and they are such hard workers, it’s conditioning. If I had lived in Mexico my whole life making a few dollars a day, and all the sudden decided to illegally immigrate over here and get a job doing manual labor at $10 an hour, I’d feel rich.

Anyway, I could go on, but I need to stop this post for now before my brain explodes. Thanks for listening to my rant, I just discovered your site today from a search I did on Google. It’s quite a relief to see a place where people can have political conversation and debates without all kinds of juvenile name calling and getting incredibly angry and all that you associate with most political blogs (or blogs period) on the Net.

    Take care,
    Ash
