Michelle Has The Moonbats Dancing!
It is no secret that I love Michelle Malkin. I find her to be a well read person with a good grasp on current affairs. She is able to articulate and back up her opinions with facts..My opinion of her is not shared with the left-wing bloggers! She covered the story of UC Santa Cruz. See here and here
And what are they mad about? For linking to a Students Against War press release bragging about booting military recruiters off campus and for re-posting publicly available contact info for the SAW press machine. mcjoan at Daily kos posted this and the comments flowed…How dare Malkin post their info right? That is what they are mad about?
Malkin published their personal information on her website, prompting her hordes of orcish mouth-breathers to brandish their pitchforks and inundate the unsuspecting students with death threats. When the students frantically called Malkin, asking that she remove their numbers, she posted their contact information again.
They were so disgusted with Michelle that they..well they linked to the contact info! Idiots! Not all of the posters saw it mcjoans way though:

It is available in its original form on other sites besides Malkin’s.
The “FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE” tag would seem to imply that the students have waived any privacy they may have had regarding the information. (Name, phone number, and school email addy)
Also, the students are listed as press representatives encouraging readers to contact them. Given the controversial nature of the their action they should have expected negative reactions as well as positive ones.
College is where some of us learn about real-life. These kids are getting a strong valuable lesson.
Besides, these kids are pretty active in UCSC politics/activism, they are not naive shrinking violets.
In other words: “Welcome to the big leagues.”

As much as I dislike Malkin and all her crappy anger, the students chose to bring this on themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I hate it when bona fide political speech generates death threats but that’s the America we live in.
Besides, I once saw Michael Moore publically reveal the private cell phone telephone number of a local wing nut radio talk show host. How Moore obtained the number I don’t know but he did reveal it to a crowd of supporters. I dislike the wing nut talk show host but I still wouldn’t publish his private cell phone number to expose him to harrassment like that.

I’d like to hear what San Fran has to say about this. It just proves almost every point people make on this blog about liberals and their racist views. I like Michele as well. She’s a wonderful journalist and I hope she’s tough as well. It can’t be easy being called some of these slimy names.
Last I heard though even right wing news journalists have freedom of speech.

The Left that preaches “tolerance” (for their views) are the most intolerant, repressive, fascist force since the brownshirts. Ask the publisher of the Conservative newspaper at the UC Berkeley campus. Their newspapers are frequently completely removed from paper racks on campus (all of the papers) after distribution by unknown persons. No doubt members of the free speech, “tolerant” Left.

I’ll take the middle road.
On one hand, Michelle posting contact info is a bit over the top. Obviously, it’s done with the intent to intimidate those students.
On the other hand, any of those responding using nasty racial invective should know better, and should be ashamed of themselves for using such poor language and speaking in anger.
Even people here on Rightvoices say stupid things in anger or haste, that they don’t really mean.
(I’m curious as to what the emails sent to the students looked like. I’m sure they weren’t full of pictures of roses…and I bet there are a few nasty comments, too.)
And, yes, Robert, I blame Bush for the 1906 SF earthquake.

Michelle’s posting was not over the top nor was it done to intimidate the students. These students had already given out their information to various news sources AND further Michelle has a disclaimer on her website which is very clear. As for the students, this is a lesson learned.
You can blame Bush for everything but the whole terrorist problem I blame on two ex presidents. They would be Carter and Clinton.

BonBon, I understand that the students already had their info put out in the open.
So why would Michelle RE-post their contact info – on her website – if not for the only purpose of having people send comments to them?
So yes, it was a bit malicious and over the top to post the info. ONLY because she was intentionally inviting her readers to “blow up” the in-boxes of these student with comments.
Thus…over the top.
BUT, the people who commented on her site and used poor language should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks for using a little bit of reason and common sense here… I use foul language plenty, but only as descriptives, etc…never to attack personally.. the “chink” “cunt” remarks are WAY over the line.

The anti-racist One People’s Project website has released her details which the say are publically available on the Internet.

Her refusal to remove these kids contact information was not from conviction, but from revenue. Every journalist in the world knows that contact information on a press release is for journalists to call for more information or interviews, not to be published (or even pointed out) in the publication itself. If she were any kind of ethical person she would have pulled the information when asked.
If she were something resembling a human being with “feelings”, she would not have republished the information once the students themselves removed it. Michelle is a vicious, vindictive, venomous egoist with no discernible ethics nor even a shred of human decency. If she wants to be The Minority Woman Who Believes Minorities and Women Suck, that’s her right. But she should at least have the integrity to acknowledge that she has done wrong and to stop compounding the wrong. And she should not give us that disingenuous crap about how she doesn’t condone death threats and nobody should misuse her posting and reposting of personal information.

This whole thing is pretty sad. She started it when she maliciously posted the names and phone numbers of the students from the SAW press release (intended for journalists, not the public).
None of this would be happening right now, if that one action did not happen.
That said, the retaliation from the Left was a bit heavy handed.
Hopefully she got a taste of the bitterness she so carelessly dishes out, and will try to be a better person because of it.

Michelle was IN THE WRONG when she posted on-line the contact info found on A PRESS RELEASE.
Basically, she committed a journalistic no-no, that is taught to aspiring journalists everywhere.
And the results of her posting the info and the retaliation from the Left…IS WHY YOU DON’T POST CONTACT INFO FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION, WHEN IT’S NOT INTENDED FOR THE PUBLIC.
I bet she learned her lesson, and I’ll also be willing to bet you will not see her post private contact info again, at least for a very long time.

No one, but the idiots that posted their own info for all to see are to blame! If they can’t figure that out, god help them with the rest of their lives..they are in for some rude awakenings!
