There Goes The View
Not that I could stand the show as it was, it now appears that Rosie O’Donnell is to become the next co-host on the show. She is said to be the replacement for Meredith Vieira, who is the replacement for Katie Couric, who is the replacement for Bob Schiffer, who is the replacement for Dan Rather!
O’Donnell’s appointment was reported Thursday by the newsmagazine “Extra.” It was confirmed by a person close to the show who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because “The View” wanted to make the announcement on Friday’s show.(I would guess that the leak is Joy, as she reported the departure of Vieira in her standup routine 3 days prior to Walters announcing it on air)
ABC officials declined comment on the report on Thursday. (Joy must not be considered official)
Dubbed “The Queen of Nice” when her syndicated talk show went on the air in 1996 and became an instant hit, O’Donnell won six Daytime Emmy Awards in six years as best talk-show host. She left the show to help raise four children with her partner, Kelli Carpenter O’Donnell.
It’s an important appointment for “The View,” which was created by Barbara Walters. Vieira’s news background helped make her the solid center of the program on the days Walters didn’t appear on air.
So is Rosie going to do the hard news? Or maybe yell at Tom Selleck again? Or maybe she can develop new phobias to bore the audience with!

I saw a picture taken from her cruiseship and she reminded me of the Skipper from Gilligans Island!
I don’t care if she is a lesbian, it was the fact that at least once every 6 months, she had a new revalation! And it was always in the form of a money making way to explain it!
I would love to know the statistics of the chances of a parent having not 1 but 2 gay children that were born to the same parents…that is rather odd. Both she and a brother are gay.
