Was a Message Sent in The 2006 NFL Draft?

I couldn’t help but wonder if the NFL was sending a message to the draft candidates yesterday. Who didn’t think Reggie Bush would be the Number 1 Pick? Reggie has some ethical challenges and he was not the first pick! Instead, that honor went to Mario William, the $54 million dollar man!

I couldn’t help but wonder, I guess hope is the better word, that the NFL chose yesterday as the day to send out a message to the draft picks and free agents: We have many more choices than just you. Those with attitude and baggage can be replaced.
