Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Only An Idiot Could Come Up With This!

Bob Burnett, of the HuffPo is calling for a strike of

commercial transportation, particularly the boat, rail, and truck lines that handle cargo containers.

Why is he calling for this? To protest our anti-terror policies in Iraq and Iran!

Let’s examine what happens here. It isn’t the administration that pays for the strike. The transportation companies that are responsible for the cargo do. Any line shut downs that result from this strike will be absorbed by the freight lines as well as the manufacturer that was contracted to deliver on time. Guess what..strikes are not an excuse. So he is correct that the administration would notice, and so would the media, but they won’t be paying the bill for it. Companies that employ people will.

As I said, only an idiot would call for such a thing!

I think a “Policy Strike” might be effective in someplace like the Ukraine, but here I wouldn’t be so sure it would be effective…

I think we should use elections, not economic strikes to get what we want.

(will be slow in responding today)
