Democrats Plot for Legislative Blitz
With recent polls that reveal increasing unpopularity of President Bush, as wells as the Republicans in Congress – the Democrats are feeling very over-confident about a complete House takeover. Polls are showing only 34% in favor of a Republican House. Democrats would need to pick up 15 seats in order to gain control.
What do the Dems have in mind, IF they do gain control? Well, they start out explaining some idealistic plans to immediately vote to raise the minimum wage for the first time since 1997. It would roll back a provision in the Republicans’ Medicare prescription drug benefit that prohibits the Department of Health and Human Services from negotiating prices for drugs offered under the program. It would vote to fully implement the recommendations of the bipartisan panel convened to shore up homeland security after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, Democratic leaders said. And it would reinstate lapsed rules that say any tax cuts or spending increases have to be offset by spending cuts or tax increases to prevent the federal deficit from growing.
And then?
You can count on endless Congressional investigations and an attempt to impeach Bush, which is the real agenda here. With plans to “to use the power to investigate”, Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) vowed the Democrats will investigate the Administration on multiple fronts:
- the task force convened in secret by Vice President Cheney to devise the administration’s energy policy … to reveal the names of energy company executives tapped to advise the task force
- The conduct of the war in Iraq would be the subject of hearings, if not a full-fledged House investigation
- the use of intelligence on Saddam Hussein’s alleged weapons of mass destruction to make the case for the 2003 invasion
- the extent of domestic wiretapping by the National Security Agency
- the billions of dollars wasted by contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan
Hate it or love it – this is what you can expect with a Democrat controlled House – if it gets that far. On the taxpayers dime – the Dems will call for such investigations that will result in endless days of toil and trouble that will dog the President through the very end of his Presidency.

The Choice is Ours – GOP or Progressive Caucus
Caucus – what an interesting choice of words. Which caucus is Pelosi alluding to? Is it the Democratic Party? I doubt it. We must not forget the other caucus that Pelosi is a member of and completely beholden to – the Progressive Caucus.

Democrats are just salivating at the chance to pull off the government coup they accused the Republicans of trying when Clinton was Impeached for his Perjury.

“…the Dems will call for such investigations that will result in endless days of toil and trouble that will dog the President through the very end of his Presidency.”
And this is a problem because…????
Your team SAVAGED Clinton for years with seemingly endless investigations.

SanFran – if there were more validity to their ‘claims’ other than “you did it to clinton… it’s only fair we do it to you’ type of mentality – - then maybe.
But Clinton? He was guilty don’t forget.

Mike, Mike, Mike…
I’ll ask you to rephrase that for accuracy, please.
Clinton was never convicted of diddly squat.

No offense, but there are plenty of people who happen think that there are plenty of “claims” that are valid for pursuing charges against him on…
