“Latest Victim of the Kennedy Curse”
How many times have we heard of “The Kennedy Curse”? There is no curse, they are victims of themselves. Joe Kenndy Jr. volunteered to fly a mission that was considered to be a suicide mission. The plane blew up in mid-air. Kathleen Kennedy died in a plane crash, John Kennedy was fully aware of the assassination plots during the month of November 1963, namely Tampa, and yet he chose to ride in the open top limo, during the visit to Dallas. Bobby was a public official and he too had death threat. But the biggie of them all is Teddy! You can fill in those blanks.
Now let’s get to Patrick, the son of Ted and Joan Kennedy. The WaPo as the latest victim!
Kennedy tried to ignore the din of shouted questions as he walked to the door, but he couldn’t avoid the woman in the front row who asked if he would resign. He shook his head. “I need to stay in the fight,” he said. Then the latest victim of the Kennedy Curse disappeared. On the decorative bookshelf behind the lectern where he spoke, there was still a copy of the Warren Commission’s report on his uncle’s assassination.
The media mob, expecting to duel with a feisty Kennedy who would deny wrongdoing, instead found a miserable character. Before the congressman’s appearance, jokes about Chappaquiddick, Ambien and methadone filled the room. After the appearance, some felt bad for him that his father, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), didn’t join him. Others said the return to rehab would douse the story. “It’s a get-out-of-jail-free card,” one producer predicted.
Patrick is a victim of himself. This is a man that has known no other life than what he has lived. One of privilage and one that says there are no reprocussions for your bad behavior. More doors open because of his name, than those closed because of it. It is insulting to hear this: Rep. James Moran, another Irish Democrat, is brought in for more sadness over that Kennedy curse. “He’s had his struggle with a life he didn’t ask for but he has to accept,” Moran said. Mr. Moran, he has done just fine with the life he didn’t ask for. The only time it seems to be a problem is when he is being held accountable for his behavior!
The content of this WaPo article is laughable:
Kennedy, boyish-looking at 38 with his mop of red hair, has battled drug dependency and other health problems throughout his life. He suffers from chronic asthma, and while in his twenties he endured a 12-hour surgery to remove a tumor from his spinal column, requiring months of recovery time.
But the most persistent malady has been manic depression, which fostered addiction problems that trace to cocaine abuse during his teenage years.
Many of the Kennedy heirs lend their names to substance abuse causes. One would think that they would take care of their own first!

ha! I read that quote from Moran and thought the same EXACT thing.
Poor, poor guy living that wretched priviledged life of a Kennedy – a life he didn’t ask for, but one the poor guy has to DEAL with.
Besides, Teddy breaks the Kennedy curse – - he’s still ambling around Washington. there’s been no plane, car or train crash for him. Unless! Unless! All those Kennedy deaths were prearranged and plotted by… say … the MOB! yea! And Teddy is still with us because he made a LONG AGO deal with the mob that if they left him alive, he would agree to FOREVER make a complete ass of himself in public as much and as often as possible.
That must’ve been it.

Anyone notice the increase of spam to buy prescription drugs over the Internet since Patrick Kennedy went to Mayo?
I wasn’t aware Patrick Kennedy was to prescription drugs what Ted Kennedy is to the available supply of Chivas Regal.

The Kennedys are not “cursed”…they are a pack of thieves, thugs, rapists, drunks, womanizers and overpriveledged fuckfaces… everything they get, they deserve.
