I equate Moussaoui to Sirhan Sirhan. He may be a nut, but he was intent on carrying out a terrorist attack just as Sirhan Sirhan was intent on obtaining revenge for the Palestinians on RFK for supporting Israel.

A terrorist who aids in the planning of an attack, and conceals its existence, is still a terrorist whether he actually participated in the attack or not. I'm going to go over this one more time. Terrorists are nonuniformed combatants who have declared war on the US. Whether our Congress may lack the intestinal fortitude to declare war against Al Quaeda, Al Quaeda has declared war on US. With that fact, Terrorists are to be treated in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. The Geneva Conventions are international law and call for all combatants to receive humane treatment. HOWEVER those combatants MUST OBSERVE CERTAIN RULES. To be protected by the Geneva Conventions, the combatants must wear recognizable uniforms, they must carry ID that indicates that they are members of a military unit, they must belong to a unit with a recognized chain of command. These are NOT suggestions, they are REQUIREMENTS. Now where does that leave the Terrorists as they do not obey ANY of these requirements? There is a section of the Geneva conventions that specifically covers any combatant who refuses to abide by those requirements. That section provides for a military tribunal to determine if the individual is in fact a nonuniformed combatant. If they are determined to in fact be a nonuniformed combatant, the convening authority has the responsibility to determine the appropriate punishment with execution being the prescribed penalty. We have used this before and would save a fortune on Gitmo if we simply started executing any terrorist not willing to cooperate. for an example of us executing nonuniformed combatants research the "Chicago 7".

I spoke to an attorney that told me that the chances of him getting a new trial are ZERO. You can’t blame the lawyers. And his lying is not grounds for a new trial, but actually more charges.
