While I do wish him the best in his recovery, I do have two questions on this one.

Is that in addition to what he’s already suffered from 40 years of drinking and doing drugs?

How will anyone be able to tell?

I really don’t care if the guy is dead or alive.

I actually admire Keith Richards..if I could drink and drug myself silly for over 40 years and still climb coconut trees, I’d consider myself ahead of the game!!!

He didn’t suffer brain damage from 40 years of drinking and drugs. Suffering implies that there was pain involved, and it looks like he enjoyed every bit, and what memories he has remaining after all of that must be pleasant ones, judging from his expression. He is one of the few rockers who looks as happy as they should be, considering he has everything that would be considered desirable.  At this point, considering the state he’s in, the smile is the only thing left that makes him bearable to look at at all. Would any of you do what he did, if it was guaranteed not to kill or damage you worse than him?
