A Psychologist In Need of A Psychiatrist

I was scanning Memorandum and came acoss this LA Times story of a disgruntled L.A. psychologist “who was denied a tote bag during a Mother’s Day giveaway at an Angel game is suing the baseball team, alleging sex and age discrimination.”

Michael Cohn’s class-action claim in Orange County Superior Court alleges that thousands of males and fans under 18 were “treated unequally” at a “Family Sunday” promotion last May and are entitled to $4,000 each in damages.

Where would one come up with the gumption to bring such a suit, let alone determine that it is worth $4,000 to each male in attendance that day? Although in all fairness to the men at the game, Michael Cohn is the only complaint!

I love this comment by his attorney, Alfred Rava

“They claimed they didn’t have any more bags, but my client said there was a mountain of bags stacked so high a show dog couldn’t have jumped over them,” said Alfred Rava, Cohn’s San Diego-based attorney.

Don’t worry, the Angels learned their lesson:

This year’s Family Sunday promotion, to be held this weekend, will not specifically cater to women 18 and older. The first 25,000 fans ” male or female ” 18 or older will be given a red “Mother’s Day Ladies Tote Bag.”

And of course this does not make the attorney happy:

Rava said the giveaway still violated some fans’ civil rights because those under 18 will be denied a bag based on their age.

“By looking at the bag, you can see a 17-year-old male or female would be just as happy with it as an 18-year-old male or female,” Rava said. “I don’t know why the Angels and Bryman College had a seemingly contrived cutoff for this ageless bag.”

It looks like they both are in need of a psychiatrist!

Oh stop….I can’t take anymore of this nonsense…..

But…it has given me a thought. I have a TON of old purses in my closet. Should I offer them to my male friends? Maybe they would like some tote bags…I’d be glad to send one to this looney man in L.A.

Isn’t that the oddest story! The sad thing is, it was true! I kept waiting to read that the man was a single parent or the man was gay and raising a child etc, but NOOOOO! He really just wanted that red bag!

Some shysters should just be taken out and shot. This lawyer is one of them. Cohn should have his credentials taken away from him and Cohn be put in the nearest loony bin.

This so called lawyer named Alfred Rava is responsible for ending “ladies night” in many clubs in the San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles Area. He has made over 125K dollars in San Diego alone in sexual discrimination lawsuites…

He and a bunch of his lawer friends are also sueing the Oakland A’s for not recieving the Mothers Day promotions in 2004…

Sounds like another profesional whiner/complainer who is using the PC laws to make big money.

What a lowlife, scum-sucking bottom feeder.

That’s the way it is with many of the Liberal-inspired politically-correct feelgood laws. They sound so appealing on the surface; oh, we just want equal this, equal that, etc. What they end up doing is opening the door to frauders, money grubbers, dirtbag lawyers like this one, and general abuse. Pretty soon things start going away, things that were perfectly fine before all of this came along.

This is what you get from Liberalism, folks.

Just goes to show that perhaps Shakespeare got it right 400 years ago when he wrote the line “The first thing we do is kill all the Lawyers.”
