This too from the WaPo. I would expect that Thomas Edsall will get thousands of hate filled e-mails, but what he speaks is the truth. Dean is causing some major problems within the rank and file of the Democratic Party. He has one vision for how the campaigns and money should be spent, while others see it differently!
The blowup highlights a long-standing tension that has pitted Democratic congressional leaders, who are focused on their best opportunities for electoral gains this fall, against Dean and many state party chairmen, who believe that the party needs to be rebuilt from the ground up — even in states that have traditionally been Republican strongholds.
Emanuel’s fury, Democratic officials said, was over his concern that Dean’s DNC is spending its money too freely and too early in the election cycle — a “burn rate” that some strategists fear will leave the party unable to help candidates compete on equal terms with Republicans this fall.
Emanuel declined to talk about his meeting with Dean but was blunt about his concern that the DNC is not managing its resources wisely.
“This is a historic opportunity, and we can’t squander it,” Emanuel said.
With all the problems facing the Republicans, we are still raising funds at a 2:1 ratio. I understand that Dean is trying to grow the base, but at the same time, he needs to realize that he can’t count on a sure thing any longer.

Cut and Run in Iraq
Stop development of our own domestic sources of energy
Be kind to the terrorists, so they will love us
The Republicans have a Culture of Corruption. The Democrites are pure, honest, and just want to help the little guy!

1. Abortion for All!! woo hoo..12 years old? you don’t need no stinking parental notification? 8th month? hell, we got vacuum cleaners big enough to handle that! Cowboy up!
2. Reparations! We will tax the living fuck out of (only) white folks, none of whom were alive during slavery to give it to (only) black folks, none of whom have ever been slaves
3. United Nations – turn ALL peacekeeping, humanitarian and diplomatic duties over to the United Nations, their track record of success in Africa, Iraq, etc. demonstrate that they are the ONLY body capable of bringing justice, peace and prosperity to the far reaches of the globe.
4. Impeach Hitler..oops, I mean Bush – For having the audacity to intercept communiques between foreign terrorists and american sleeper cells (affectionately known in liberal circles as “domestic spying”)
5. Impeach Halliburton…er, Cheney! – For approving the horrific practice of pointing to captured Al Qaeda terrorists’ nutsacks… this kind of torture cannot be allowed to stand.
6. Forge new ties with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad – surely a man whose stated goal is “wiping Israel off the map” is our kind of man, and advocates a policy we can really get behind!
7. Throw open the borders – We have recognized that, without the efforts of the hard-working, uber undustrious Mexican labor, the american economy…hell, the very existence of the American way of Life, would cease to exist. However, as we are for a “living wage”…see #8
8. Increase the minimum wage to $20.00 an hour – since we will have MILLIONS of new, hard-working Mexicans here, we need to treat them with dignity and provide them with a “living wage”….how will we pay for it, you ask? see #9.
9. Repeal Bush Tax Cuts – The gravy train is over for the “rich”… from now on, those making under $30K a year will pay NO TAXES (never mind that they don’t really pay any right now anyway), and the Rich… those making over 30K a year, will be taxed into virtual poverty.
