William Jefferson, D-La., in the building on Saturday evening in connection with a public corruption investigation that has already netted two guilty pleas by two associates, authorities said. But I thought we were told that the “Culture of Corruption” is a Republican thing? How can this be? Is it possible that a purer-than-the-driven-snow Democrite, who is just fighting for us little guys, could be corrupt? NO! It just can’t be! Somehow, someway, this is Bush’s fault!!!
yeah, the BHDS sufferers are remarkably silent on this…meanwhile they were slobbering all over themselves to have Tom Delay drawn and quartered…and he’s still pled guilty to NOTHING.
My first thoughts exactly when I read this story. It seems that it goes on and on that everytime a democrat (which is often) gets slammed with something they start accusing republicans of having a culture of corruption. Who do they think they are fooling?
BonBon, the Democrats are immature children who can not take responsibility for their actions, nor the negative consequences of their actions.
It’s all part of the “Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy”.
The really sad part is that even if the indict and convict this corrupt scumbag, unless they kick him out of Congress, he would probably be reelected. He may also be able to collect a congressional pension even if he is.
I believe he does get to keep his pension even if he is convicted.
I think he looses it if he’s thrown out, but I could be wrong. Keep in mind this is the same William Jefferson who used a military 2 1/2 ton truck to go to his home to retrieve documents following Katrina while it should’ve been out searching for survivors.
well yes! its jefferson what more do you need to know? he is big on the third world ideals, ask will he go to prison?
I don’t think any charges have been filed yet…
Boy SF, wish you would take that cautious, wait-and-see attitude with someone like, say…Tom Delay.
