This is a joke. China is an environmental disaster and it is not because of its laws. It is because of the lack of enforcement of the laws. China's car emission laws may be better than the United States', but that is basically irrelevant because there are a huge number of cars there whose emissions would probably not meet anyone's standards. This guy is the leading expert in the U.S., probably the world, on hurricanes. He said it is absolute nonsense that global warming has anything to do whatsoever with hurricane numbers or intensity. Google the Duke University tree ring study that shows that growing seasons in Europe (read that as NORTHERN HEMISPHERE) were longer and hence warmer than they currently are. If I remember correctly, at the current rate of temperature increase, we should get back to those temperatures in a century or so. As for the "Global Warming" causing increased severe weather, even the NOAA says we're just in the high point of a normal 40 year cycle.
