How An Elitest Justifies Illegals

Michelle links to William F. Buckley’s stance on illegals! It is absolutely moronic anyway you read it! He seems to think that the deportation of the 11 million illegals be “as wrenching as the uprooting of the blacks from Africa 300 years ago.

I don’t remember any recent news stories of us going across the border and grabbing these illegals and forcing them to work here. I also haven’t seen any stories of us forcing them to accept welfare…

The African slaves were bought and sold and forced into labor. The illegals from Mexico, knowingly cross our border illegally and live in the shadows of our society…

Guys…deporting 11 Million people from our soil JUST ISN’T GOING TO HAPPEN.

    seriously.

    Give it up.

    It’s a stupid idea.

“Buckley’s idiocy is another reason, as Heather Mac Donald argues, that East Coast Elites Should Shut Up About Immigration.”

Michelle’s idiocy is another reason, as San Francisco Liberal argues, that Obnoxious Right Wing Bloggers Should Shut The Hell Up About Deporting 11 Million Human Beings From Their Homes, Jobs, and Communities.

…and then think up some REAL solutions.

  3. So are you willing to accept the fact that you are supporting the demise of the middle class as you know it? Ultimately, this is what is happening to the middle class. Why pay an American a living wage when it is acceptable to hire illegals.. Within the next 10 years as the Mexican population grows, as you predict it will, there will be no need for an uneducated American in the work force.

  4. San Fran, we don’t need to deport them. We can simply make it far more beneficial for them to leave on their own. We have the ability to find and prosecute the people hiring them. We have the ability to determine who a large number of them are. We don’t need to deport them all. All we have to do is deport a portion of them. Detain any that cross the border for 6 months before deporting them. (They admit that being deported means nothing to them, but spending 6 months in jail with no means to support their families is another story. One readily admitted that had he known he was going to spend 4 months in jail rather than be deported immediately, he’d have stayed at home.)BTW detaining them for 6 months doesn’t require a new law, it simply requires enforcing the current one. When it becomes clear that we are going to deport any that we catch with nothing but the clothes on their backs, a significant portion of the rest will pack up and leave voluntarily. I’m even willing to give those of military age the opportunity to earn citizenship by serving in the military with full pay and benefits for 6 years. The liberals should love this plan as it is based on the French Foreign Legion. Basically if we take away the temptation for them to be here, and make their illegal attempts to enter this country truly financially painful, they’ll either go away or stay away.

Peejz is right, you bemoan the shrinking middle class while supporting the illegal aliens who cause wages for skilled labor to drop to the levels of unskilled labor 20 years ago. Outside of areas where the building trade unions have a strangle hold on the building industry, (don’t get caught building anything in Philadelphia with nonunion labor) the wages for skilled masons and roofers have stagnated or fallen due to the illegal aliens taking jobs for below market wages. Experienced wildfire team leaders can no longer get jobs unless they are bilingual due to the influx of hispanic workers into the field. All of these jobs used to provide a standard of living that put the workers solidly into the middle class. As did unionized factory workers. Over the years the unions have so squeezed the manufacturers for more and more money and benefits that the big three can no longer afford to be competitive with the import manufacturers who aren’t saddled with 50 years worth of pension plans and retirement benefits to pay.

Stop repeating this straw man. What we’re saying is:

    1. Close and control the border.
    2. Turn off the magnet.
    3. Deport them as they come in contact with authorities.

Once you turn off the magnet, I’ll bet a high percentage of them will leave on their own accord.

The above is a formula for success. Now admit it SFL, you can go slow if you like, but just admit it.

  6. “there will be no need for an uneducated American in the work force.”

Ha! That’s almost a liberal statement. Those poor Americans who didn’t learn anything in school. Maybe you should lobby for a social support program for them.

  7. There isn’t anything liberal about my statement, nor really aimed at being political..the fact is that those citizens that didn’t go on to college worked in factories and other manual labor jobs..they built what we know to be the middle class..what jobs the unions didn’t manage to send away are slowly being taken by illegals..therefore, unless you address the problem with the illegals, there will be no room for uneducated legal citizens..our citizens will need an education in order to compete in the job market…

  8. I agree. Those people are going to be screwed. But they are too stupid to care, so screw them. There is nothing that America can or should do to provide the stupid and ignorant with extra protection. Darwin’s theory is still alive and well; anyone who suggests otherwise might not be the fittest.

The Unions as we know them are outdated. They are not going to last. Good bye and good riddens.

  9. Well; I’m off to the pipe.

(Wow, what I wrote was pretty harsh) Good for me.

  11. Re post #5, WOSG: Once again, just like on the topic about SCOTUS ruling that Gitmo prisoners have the right to U.S. Courts, San Fran Liberal has no response. He bugs out when the going gets tough. Or perhaps when the point made is so incredibly obvious that even he can’t counter it.
