I STAND WITH ISRAEL

Something about the way Israel fights wars just gets me excited. Somebody attacks them and they strike back, but not the way the U.N. “strikes back.” They do not sit around and pointlessly debate whether or not to threaten sanctions on the aggressors, like throwing a paper airplane into a hurricane. They do not play tea party with China, France, or Russia, begging them for their support. They STRIKE BACK! : HARD!
For a little bit of the history, I encourage you to read from this link. Please feel free to add your own links! (just do it correctly)
Arab-Israeli Wars & Conflicts
(1948-Present)
Oh and take a look at these photos: A.J. Strata
Pictures have been smuggled out of Lebanon showing Hezbollah cowards dressed in civilian clothes manning their artillery and launch pads, evidence that the Hezbollah fighting force truly hides behind the skirts of their women.
The Melbourne man who smuggled the shots out of Beirut and did not wish to be named said he was less than 400m from the block when it was obliterated.
“Hezbollah came in to launch their rockets, then within minutes the area was blasted by Israeli jets,” he said.
“Until the Hezbollah fighters arrived, it had not been touched by the Israelis. Then it was totally devastated.
This alone is worthy of a UN resolution of condemnation for endangering the people these low-lifes hide among. Given their arms, it is probably safe to say they are forcing people to act as their shields. Another damning image of the so-called great Muslim Warrior.
When people complain about the civilian death toll in Lebanon, we need to remember why it has been as high as it has been. Lebanon and the UN allowed Hezbollah to use civilians as human shields for their rocket launchers and anti-aircraft batteries. The Israelis have little choice but to target Hezbollah’s offensive assets, and that makes the collateral civilian damage the responsibility of the terrorists and their enablers.

Civilian deaths in Lebanon: MSM should examine Hezbollah’s part more closely
The big story coming from the Middle East today is an Israeli airstrike that killed 56 civilians in Lebanon, including 34 children. Via AP:

In a stunning blow against Tony Blair’s refusal to listen to public opinion in Britain and condemn Israeli atrocities in Lebanon, 300 Scottish citizens occupied the terminal building of Glasgow Prestwick International Airport and managed to have United States transport planes carrying the so called, ‘Bunker Busting Bombs’ destined for Israel prevented from landing at the airport. Alasdair Smith, spokesman for the Glasgow branch of the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign commented that, ‘Tony Blair has to listen to the British people in whose name he was elected. What Israel is carrying out in Lebanon and Gaza amounts to nothing less than collective punishment and mass murder. Men, women and children are being driven from their homes and then targeted on the roads of Lebanon. Individuals and families with no where to run to and without the means of escape are fired upon in the buildings where they huddle together for safety.’ Once again we call on Tony Blair, in the name of humanity, stop this bloody slaughter. Stand up to the aggressors. Lead the world in condemning Israel and its military backers in Washington and the British people will support your courage instead of condemning your present weakness.’

Oh, yes. Once again…The Israelis are doing all these mean, terrible things! Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh MY! Why does Isreal keep doing these things? 1967, 1973, they just keep attacking their neighbors and won’t stop! It’s all Isreal’s fault? Actually, IT’S BUSH’s FAULT!!!
************************************************************
The klowns that keep blathering this sort of crap are like broken records. They just keep up the same drumbeat as though they were operating in a vacuum of no reality.
Don’t waste your time posting such nonsense here. The posters here know far too much about history, about reality, for you to make any headway. They won’t buy your drivel. You’ll accomplish much more on some idiot website like the Daily Pos, or Democrat Underground, or michael moore dot com. Just a little advice…

Alexander, do you hold that same condemnation against those that attack Israel?
July 31, 2006 - 06:39 AM on July 31st, 2006
Of course Alexander doesn’t have the same condemnation for those who attack Israel. Like Robert said, it’s all Bush’s fault.
Which boils down to the entire reason why Israel should continue to defend itself. And yes, Alexander I said DEFEND. Israel is doing nothing more than defending itself.

As I mentioned in an earlier comment, Israel can do no wrong in the eyes of pro-Israelis… Turn the blind eye to the sins of Israel…
July 31, 2006 - 09:25 AM on July 31st, 2006
Eddy….no one said Israel can do no wrong but what do you make of everything Israel has given and then to be constantly attacked by these people? What would you have them do? Don’t you think they have a right to fight terrorism and defend their nation? Don’t you even care about the innocent Israeli’s who got killed?
Read your history.

LIke I said, BonBon, Israel can do no wrong…
(Please don’t patronize me… I probably could overwhelm you with historical evidence!)
July 31, 2006 - 05:12 PM on July 31st, 2006
7- We doubt it! Put up or shut-up..what is your evidence?

“Don’t waste your time posting such nonsense here. The posters here know far too much about history, about reality, for you to make any headway.”
This coming from a guy who thinks Hitler was a Leftist, the Iraq War is going swimmingly, and there is no such thing as Global Warming…
yeeeah…

To be honest BonBon and Peejz… I have no idea what BonBon was talking about. He just said, “Read Your History”. What is he referring to? I was just reponding to that. But if there are historical things he brings up (note that there is nothing ‘historical’ in his post). Again, it was just a cheap shot.
Breakdown of BonBon:
Question 1: What do you make of everything Israel has given and then to be constantly attacked by these people?
Analysis: I can do nothing but make assumptions. What is everything that Israel has given? Is it land that we’re talking about or free toilets? Also, who are these people who are constantly attacking? I assume Hezbollah, but then again, what has Israel given Hezbollah? If anything, Israel has probably “given” more to Palestinians, but this post is not really about Palestinians, nor any of the comments.
Historical question: Not really
Question 2: What would you have them do?
Analysis: Question more about feeling. I can’t answer it because there are too many unanswered variables in question 1
Historical Question: Nope
Question 3: Don’t you think they have a right to fight terrorism and defend their nation?
Analysis: Again a question about feeling/emotion. Rhetorical question that demands Yes/No answer.
Historical Question: Nope
Question 4: Don’t you even care about the innocent Israeli’s who got killed?
Analysis: Again a question about feeling/emotion. Rhetorical question.
Historical Question: Nope
There are no questions that demand any historical evidence. If you want my feelings on these questions, I can give you my feelings. BonBon just took a cheap shot with his patronizing comment. And Peejz, it sounds like you fell for it.

In #7 Eddy said: (Please don’t patronize me: I probably could overwhelm you with historical evidence!)
In # 8 I told Eddy: Put up or shut-up..what is your evidence?
In # 10 Eddy decided to write..well nothing and summarized nothing with : There are no questions that demand any historical evidence.
Bon Bon is a woman
You didn’t disappoint me Eddy. You underwhelmed me! And you are incorrect. You made the statement in # 5: As I mentioned in an earlier comment, Israel can do no wrong in the eyes of pro-Israelis: Turn the blind eye to the sins of Israel:
That statement does demand historical evidence!
July 31, 2006 - 07:49 PM on July 31st, 2006
Apologies to Bon bon…
I did write nothing because BonBon demanded nothing. I was just pointing out why BonBon’s comments were undeserved
So “As I mentioned in an earlier comment, Israel can do no wrong in the eyes of pro-Israelis: Turn the blind eye to the sins of Israel:” that’s the statement that requires historical evidence??? thanks for the clarity (it really was unclear from BonBon’s comment)–
Anyway…ha ha ha… just read through most of the postings on this website and you’ll also see that criticizing Israel is to commit the grandest of sins…
Finally, this is silly. I mean, if we are going to talk about “historical evidence” then the topics should be questions like, “Why Israel deserves to exist?” “Why should the Palestinians put down their arms?” “Should Israel pull back to pre-1967 borderes?” “Was/Is Zionism moral and ethical worldview?”
See my friends, those questions demand historical evidence…

12- First of all, it is not a sin to come in here and not stand behind Israel. Secondly, it is a sin to come in here and talk smack with nothing to back it up. San Fran comes in here all the time and is on the other end of the spectrum from most of us, but one thing we do admire is the fact that the man puts forth an arguement that he backs up with sources. Thirdly, you might want to take the time to follow what it is you respond to and what your response is!
Lastly, Bon Bon responded to Alexander, to which you took issue. She then responded to you and did make a request for you to read your history. I concur!
July 31, 2006 - 08:09 PM on July 31st, 2006
And of course the irony here is that no one put up rebuttal…
The appropriate response from BonBon would have been something like,
“Eddy, we are not turning a blind eye to Israel’s sins. Israel has plenty of faults, but this is not about Israel’s faults or sins, this is about a country that has taken more than any country should tolerate in terms of terrorism. Israel is not perfect, but in this conflict, Israel has done nothing but defend itself and is pursuing a permanent solution.”
Instead, I was asked, “Don’t you care about innocent Israelis dying?… Read your history!”
July 31, 2006 - 08:30 PM on July 31st, 2006
Eddy:.no one said Israel can do no wrong said Bon Bon at 9:25 am!
July 31, 2006 - 09:03 PM on July 31st, 2006
Was that not a better response than “Read your history!”?

Bon Bon has been in the higher education business for the past 10+ years..I’d take her free advice!

“This coming from a guy who thinks Hitler was a Leftist, the Iraq War is going swimmingly, and there is no such thing as Global Warming:”
SFL, do I have to box your ears again?
I have posted positions by the National Socialist (NAZI)Party, which, on the balance, show Hitler to be on the Left side of the spectrum. You posted rhetoric and your opinion only.
The Iraq war has its difficulties, which are being in no small part exacerbated by the American Left.
My argument with you was about the contribution to Global Warming by the greenhouse effect, more specifically, the contribution of CO2 to the greenhouse effect, and precisely whether CO2 generated by human industrial activity is a contributor of any significanceto the greenhouse effect. I posted information and data from NASA, you posted a link or two and a truckload of rhetoric and opinion.
Once again, you deliberately mischaracterize and misstate in order to set up a straw man that you think is clever and funny…which is why you get laughed off just about every thread here.
