Barbara Walters Vs Mel Gibson
For the past 2 days I have watched Barbara Walters react to the anti-semetic remarks made by Mel Gibson. The remarks were horrible and there is no taking them back. But where is the compassion for his disease? I guess her compassion is limited to those that attack others and not her. Or could it be that she has an axe to grind after his success with The Passion Of The Christ?
Said Barbara: “I suppose going into rehab makes everything alright?” Gee Barbara, is was good enough for Kennedy and Downey, but somehow it is a trick if Mel Gibson goes into one?
As for my reaction to Mel? I find his behavor to be appalling. I am disgusted by his actions. As a practicing Catholic, I am not sure where he gets his hostility towards the Jews. In order to understand your Catholic faith, one must understand that they evolved from the Jewish faith. Maybe my upbinging was very different. We studied the Old and the New Testament!

Just another case of “Shut up and sing” or act, or whatever.. I don’t need to hear Cameron Diaz, or fucking Richard Dreyfuss, or fucking Mel Gibson pontificating on ANYTHING.
I do enjoy watching, however, that his apology and trip to rehab is taken with a great deal more skepticism than, say, a Kennedy, or other flaming liberal

Yes, any transgression by a Democrite is almost instantly forgiven without consequence: racial slurs, anti-semitic remarks, insults to our troops, whatever, it doesn’t matter.
But let a Republican, for example, say something that can be taken out of context and manipulated into an issue. Why then the media is in a frenzy for weeks. Doesn’t matter if that person kneels down and grovels at the altar of political correctness for forgiveness, it’s just not enough. Firing, resignation, etc. are mandated at a minimum.
