It's just another example of exactly how much you can trust the French. The UN is showing exactly how impotent it is. Why would anyone think that the Israelis would agree to a return to the exact same status quo that allowed Hezbollah to stockpile over 10,000 rockets, build military type fortifications under civilian buildings, conduct criminal attacks on Israeli border posts, killing and kidnapping Israeli citizens? For that matter, I can think of 232 reasons why the US should insist on Hezbollah being disarmed and dispursed before any type of cessation of hostilities. 231 Marines killed by a Hezbollah truck bomb in Beirut and a Navy diver who was beaten to death and thrown from a TWA plane.
