So, yea – I was always one of the ones who felt that someone in the Ramsey family had something to do with JonBenet’s death. I was also one of the ones who watched as John Karr confessed to the murder on national television – and thought “well, maybe I was wrong”. I saw a lot of blog posts since his televised confession, apologizing for personally accusing and blaming the Ramsey’s for the death of JonBenet – and yet, I wasn’t too quick to feel regret. There was something about the eyes and demeanor of this man that told me to hold off and wait – he didn’t feel real to me, for some reason.
Of course, I’m just an armchair detective, right? I clearly have no idea if any of the Ramsey’s were responsible – I just have my gut, based on what I see, hear and interpret in my own head. That same gut told me that John Karr wasn’t the guy – yet there were many so willing to write him off as the killer. After 10 years, I think that quick rush to judgement tells the story about how much the public really wants this case solved… those questions to be answered.
Unfortunately, the questions will not be answered in the case of John Karr. His DNA did not match that of the DNA found on JonBenet. KUSA – 9News reports that no charges will be filed, citing two sources. No charges to be filed.
I’m still not ready to feel bad about my personal feelings that someone in the Ramsey family had something to do with it. It’s just interesting to me, just from the perspective of watching how people behave, that several folks across this country were so quick to want to hang this guy for it without any facts.
Karr is a freak, no doubt about it. He’s still being held on charges of child pornography in California – not too mention his activities in Thailand. So obsessed was he with the Ramsey case – Karr is probably pretty pleased with himself that his name will forever be tied to JonBenet Ramsey in the annals of history. Even if it is ‘the weirdo pervert who gave a false confession’ – - hey any attention, even negative, is good attention, eh?
The man needs help.
As for JonBenet Ramsey? May she continue to rest in peace. I hope that someday the questions of this case will be answered and the mystery solved. Truthfully? I sincerely hope that my personal gut feelings are wrong. I hope that no one in the Ramsey family had anything to do with her murder. This was just an awful case, all the way around.

Lisa- from what I gather, no one will likely match the DNA available, as what little they have may, or is, contaminated. Hence, even if they get someone credible as a suspect? Hard time proving it with the evidence they have!
It is my understanding that the parents and other family members were cleared in the DNA check.
May little Jon Benet rest in peace:cry:
hundreds, if not thousands of brown and black babies go missing each year here in America, but you don’t hear about them because a.) their not white and b.) their parents aren’t rich.
Two Americas, people.
They’re
2- Yep, that’s exactly right!
2.
Ahhh yes. Promoting the cultural divide.
Sorry, but that’s just pathetic and you should be ashamed.
Come to think of it, that lil’ brown Cuban kid got absolutely NO attention, did he?
Nor those kids in the Florida Foster Care System…oh that’s right O’Reilly has been hammering away at it, but it won’t count because it’s FOX!
All you need is one DNA profile.. doesn’t matter how much they have left today, or how contaminated it is or isn’t. They could lose the original sample – but still have the DNA profile to compare against for years to come. And, yes, the family was cleared on the DNA match.. still doesn’t convince me that someone in the family wasn’t involved somehow.
Like I said.. armchair detective lol – - seen too much of the horrors that some parents can foist upon their own children to be optimistic about much. That, and I watch too much CSI
Well, maybe now Greta can go back to the Natalie Halloway case?
Bite your tongue:wink:
Yep. #2 SFL plays the race card. What a low-brow post.
I believe this case got alot of press because of the fact that she was paraded around in sexed up clothing, the Boulder police totally didn’t handle the scene properly and more intriguing the parents got on tv denying they had anything to do with it yet acting odd (at least Patsy). Of course she was drugged up and that explained that but alot of people just started forming their own opinions anyway.
There are indicators pointing towards other suspects but they were never able to prove anything.
Anyone who reads or studies crime should see that it’s not about two America’s but rather the intrigue and mystery of the crime itself.
May little JonBenet rest in peace. She would have been 16 this year. pity.
#2: See, I could almost cosign on that one, except for a couple of things.
1) I tend to blame the media for the excessive focus on missing or dead white females. Not two Americas
2) You try to emotionalize the issue with the word babies, but we know that if those babies were shown to have been an inconvenience to the mother… oh well.
12.
#2, Yes sasha, we’d excercise some of SF’s vaunted “reproductive rights” and dismember that little bugger!
no crime here, folks! Move along!
well, on the forensic side of this…O.J. did leave DNA all over everywhere, and the racist justice system treated him pretty well
two americas?
“Sorry, but that’s just pathetic and you should be ashamed.”………“#2 SFL plays the race card. What a low-brow post.”
…but it’s true.
Wealthy, white missing Americans recieve more media attention than minorities who might be poor do.
It’s a sad state of affairs, but it’s real.
#14…yes. prime example of two americas, one wealthy and one not wealthy.
Money rules.
so, next time, SF…leave race out of it. It’s a money thing.
don’t be a bigot.
although, I do enjoy you taking every single opportunity to prove my assertions about liberal bigotry….it’s UNCANNY!
#14:yes. prime example of two americas, one wealthy and one not wealthy. That’s life. Those that work hard to succeed do, and those that chose to live off the government don’t.
Sure Peejz, but that’s not what we’re talking about.
Those that have money get preferential treatment than those who do not have money.
If by preferential, they have access to the best attornies, because they can pay for them, okay.
hundreds, if not thousands of brown and black babies go missing each year here in America, but you don’t hear about them because a.) their not white…
That was the race thing posted by SFL. Now he’s backing up and saying it’s preferential teeatment due to money.
Peejz is correct in post #21. Those with money can play the game better. Remember OJ?
Anything what a time and money-wasting freak this Karr fool is. They should kick his ass for leading them on the Colorado wild goose chase, then lock him up forever on the other pending charges.
There you have it. And you even admitted it. (!)
A better example would be public schools. Visit an inner city school and then visit a wealthy community and their public school.
Two Americas.
Shame.
yeah, Robert, but you are aware that nearly EVERY word that escapes from a liberal’s cake hole is designed to talk about how BAD and HORRIBLE america is “black and brown babies go missing…” which is liberal code for, “America is a disgusting racist land, especially since republicans are in power”
24. don’t even go there SF.. the fucking philadelphia school district spends THREE TIMES what my poor rural one did, and we graduated 98%, who could ALL read on the appropriate level
don’t give me your fucking cry me a river, bullshit, it dosen’t fly.
The “shame” is that liberals like you continute to steal our money and piss it down the drain on these babysitting gulags.
The fact that one red cent of my tax money goes to these urban zoos makes me ill.
what you liberals are doing to those children is nothing short of child abuse.
24.
No, there is only one America. It is those such as you who wish to make excuses, and follow a drumbeat without having actual knowledge or experience, repeating idiotic catch phrases such as “Two Americas” that is the real problem here. This is both Dems and Reps, both Libs and Cons that do this.
The shame is on you I am afraid, for conforming to this idiotic clap trap.
“…nearly EVERY word that escapes from a liberal’s cake hole is designed to talk about how BAD and HORRIBLE america is “black and brown babies go missing:”which is liberal code for, “America is a disgusting racist land, especially since republicans are in power”"
See, that’s just your paranoia speaking for you.
“See, that’s just your paranoia speaking for you.”
This from some one who claims there are two Americas
Oh wait, there is North America and South America.
“No, there is only one America.”
49% of America disagrees with you there…
And if 49% of America thought the moon was made of green cheese would we have to accept that as the new reality?
24-A better example would be public schools. Visit an inner city school and then visit a wealthy community and their public school.
Two Americas.
Shame.
You are right in that it is a shame that the liberals with the assitance of the ACLU have taken the education system down the path it is on. Gone are the days when the troublemkers were kicked out. Gone are the days when you could segregate the students by learning ability.
The inner city schools are the way they are because of liberals that have made it the way it is. Government dependence is to blame for this..not rich people.
apparently, SF is VERY into polls and popular opinion now.. so, in his honour, I propose a NATIONAL referendum on the following:
1. Partial birth abortion (support or oppose)
2. gay marriage (support or oppose)
3. national flat tax (or sales tax) (support or oppose)
4. UN Membership / funding (support continued membership / support continued funding)
5. Illegal Immigration (support / oppose mass deportation) (support / oppose security fence and drastically increased police presence on border)
I would LOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to see the results of THAT referendum (I’m quite certain SF would NOT)
32.
Source, please.
WoodShed, let me suggest an answer or SFL, one that he might provide:
Everybody knows it, that’s just the way it is. It is accepted in Academia. Everyone is talking about it. So that’s the way it is. It just is, and it is.
#36: The 2004 Election.
38.
Ahh, so you are saying that the 2004 elections wsatblishes that there are two Americas? Well, then I guess there has always been two Americas, there always will be two America’s and that Ross Pewrot created a third merica for a while.
(begin rant)
That is an inane position to hold. I will submit for EVERYONE reading this that this is exactly what is wrong with America today. Like it or not, it takes both liberal and conservative philoshpies to steer this country on its proper course. A difference in opinion in and of itself does not make one any less of of an American than anyone else. It doesn’t create a “seperate” America. As a matter of fact, it is exactly that which is our strong point and our founding fathers understood that. Of late the citizens of this country are just plain too stupid to realizie this. SFL seems to be a prime example. “You disagree, so you are part of a different America than I, because you voted differently.”
Balderdash! Moronity at its very essence, I say!
Anyone who holds such a position just doesn’t understand what America really is about, and they have my utmost pity.
(end rant)
