Want to see how many Louisiana residents you can get to change to being Republican? Advertise the report put out by the Army Corps of Engineer contractor that asked for an additional $800,000 to build the levees in New Orleans properly when it was discovered that the bedrock necessary to properly anchor them was 30 ft further beneath sediment than expected when the bid was entered. The Clinton Administration refused to allocate the additional money betting that the levees would hold even if not properly anchored. That was a major reason why they failed. Advertise the FACT that the BUSH administration had allocated more money to maintain the levees in New Orleans in the 5 years before they broke, than the Clinton Administration did in 8 years to include building them (improperly). Also include in those ads how many of the members of the New Orleans Levee Board were convicted of misappropriating government funds, and how much of the money to repair and upgrade the levees went to other projects like the Mardi Gras Fountain. They wasted more money allocated to buttress the levees on that fountain that it would’ve cost to build the damn things properly in the first place.

There’s a reason why Bill worked to get over 3000 military votes in Florida in the 2000 election disallowed. He knew they were going to be overwhelmingly for Bush because of his administration’s military policies.
